May 21 mixed media painting.
Hello friends,
Today I was trying my new Jane Davenport brush markers. I used different materials together with them.
Materials I used
Brush markers
Oil pastel
Liners
Gel pen
White crayon
So I wanted to use a butterfly as a center of my art. Since I was testing these brush markers, I decided to experiment. I made a sketch of the butterfly using white crayon, so when I go over it with my brush markers the outline stays white, while everything else get painted.
On the sides of I made zigzag pattern.
I used sap green as a main background color. You can see here that white lines made by crayon stayed white and the ink didn’t go through it, that’s how it was planned so far.
Now I’m done with the brush markers. I’ll be using oil pastel for the clouds and for some white patterns, that are barely visible.
I used black liner to draw some flowers, ladybugs and do some patterns.
It was kind of fun to use all these materials at once. I really enjoyed it, I hope you enjoyed it too!
Thank you for visiting my blog!
