Getting Around to Becoming a Bro - Introduction to the Man Cave

avatar

I have to admit, when the Man Cave was first created I was probably too busy doing some serious manly stuff, so I entirely missed it. Also later, when I saw snippets of content posted in this new community, I was only moderately interested. Sure, most of those posts were in accordance with the way I see my own masculinity too: It's more than just about beards and beers. But the philosophical discussions regarding what it means to be a man failed to inspire my creativity. So eventually the whole Man Cave got pushed onto the back burner, where it remained until recently.

BroFi, the In-House DeFi on the Hive Blockchain

Right after I was done going through the learning curve presented by CubFinance, BroFi was released. Being still excited about offering bLEO, BNB, CUB, and BUSD in liquidity pools, and earning CUB tokens for it, I was quite psyched about doing the same for my tokens on HiveEngine, such as LOTUS, PAL, NEOXIAN, CCC, and maybe even FOODIE (though I'm not sure in the case of the latter).

At that time real life was demanding a bit more of my attention than normally, so I pushed the Man Cave back onto the back burner... not without buying a nice round tenner of the Man Cave token BRO first. Just like before, the hours turned into days, and before I realized, I had forgotten about looking into the details and mechanics of BroFi. And then came CINE...

CINE Airdrop for my 10 BRO Coins.

As soon as the CineTV tribe was created, my head was back again in the Man Cave. My recently started blog series Binge on This fits right into the CineTV profile. And then there are the CINE tokens, of which I got airdropped 44.9 for the 10 BROs I was holding. What a great start! I immediately staked all my CINE, and once I'm back in my urban home (where I tend to watch series) I'm sure I'll post there as well.

Hello to All Bros!

But while I'm here, I may as well do all the little things, such as subscribing to the tribe, reading some articles there, voting, commenting, ... and of course introducing myself to the tribe.

So here it is: I'm David. I enjoy nature, wild as well as domesticated, I love to travel, such as going on long bike rides, participating in natural building projects, like the one I'm busy with right now. I also like to share my knowledge, whether in teaching languages, composting, making probiotic drinks, or building amazing structures out of cob, bamboo, tires, etc.

Okay, again it's pretty hard summarizing everything I do in a few words. So just keep an eye on my blog, and you will get to see the many sides of me, (including probably some real manly stuff). The only thing I don't think I'll ever get into are conceptual discourses on being a man. But then again, who knows, I just might! ;-)

Welcome David! I'm late to upvote, but not too late to encourage you with a comment!

I think being 'a man' is way more than beers and beards, and I think that its quite possible this group will serve an important purpose as the world seeks to find balance again and create new systems.

Hopefully you can find some laughs in here!

Thanks for the welcome! And no rush, it took me half a year before I joined.

I totally agree, this group (just like any group out to connect and communicate) can be helpful in finding balance. And in the meanwhile, let's have some laughs - like that Seinfeld bit I'll get around to watching soon.

And as for beers: !BEER
