"How many of you regret leaving STEEM and continuing HIVE?" - Hive Anniverssary Special

It middle of crypto price check, I stumbled upon Steem prices. Currently trading quite higher than Hive prices. It's been one year since we began our journey with Hive blockchain. Those who are not familiar with entire development, let me share you a short synopsis.

Last year March 2020, the so called decentralized content network Steem was acquired by Justin Sun owner of TRON network. The Steem community responded to the hostile takeover by launching Hive, that aims to combat Steem centralization.

Since then many dapps, whales , users migrated to Hive blockchain, leaving behind Steem. (Not everyone though)

As we completed one year of, Hive blockchain I looked back at the current prices charts of both the token. I was surprised to find Steem prices are more than Hive.

As I am writing this , the Steem prices at Coinmarketcap is

While at the same time our Hive is trading at:

Steem is much ahead in race, and for a moment it did give me some regret feeling. Seriously, watching all your effort for Hive going down in drain and the one which was abandoned year ago still standing strong.

But on second thought, I see and find the majority of vintage users still standing with Hive and putting all their effort to take Hive to moon. Hive is just 1 year old and already giving a run for money to Steem (a 4+ year old). The difference is not huge. $ 0.1870 makes them apart. Which can be said as Huge achievement.

I seriously apologize for mentioning few of the Hive pillars, but the work done by @theycallmedan @aggroed @themarkymark @nathanmars @gtg @ocdb team and many other must be appreciated. It's only their effort that Hive manage to stand neck to neck with their counterpart and in no time.

My personal experince on both blockchain, explains that Hive ecosystem is better than Steem, they have far better curation and reward distribution system then what I experienced on Steem. It's only been 1 year and we able witness such growth which is magnificent work and must be applauded.

Apart from that one moment of regret feeling now I am quite proud to be part of Hive. Hive is growing and growing very fast. It will take a combined effort to take it much higher than every other counterpart.

How many of you had same regret feeling looking at the Steem prices and what made you to stay with Hive.??

I've no regrets. Steemit is less interactive than hive. All amazing people left steemit.

Absolutely no regrets. Hive is decentralized and Steem is not. Hive has more and better DApps, communities and tribes. Hive has better engagement and diversity of content. Hive has the better community.

Steem has a higher price but that gap can be erased in a day. On Tuesday, the prices were briefly the same.

The moment dapps, communities and tribes started to migrate into hive ,my instinct said..this going to be a crazy development and hive will be amazing and rightly so...we did so many good things in our 1 year...hope we can see hive getting past the steem prices and make us more happier

Price of Hive is looking pretty good right now. I think there is plenty of time left in this bull market for higher prices.

When I see the number of wonderful posts on HIVE made by great authors...
When I see the curation groups spending so much time to make HIVE attractive...
When I see the number of great communities that have been created...
When I see the number of developers (core and dApp) who are working hard for HIVE...

It's impossible for me to have any regrets about abandoning everything on STEEM even though I was already there for 2 years and especially when you see the empty shell that it has become.

I'm very happy to have made a witness server on HIVE and not STEEM, even if since a year it costs me more than it brings me (which would probably have been different on STEEM), it allows me to make my contribution to this great blockchain in which I believe 😉

I regret: not learning about hive power up day earlier. not buying more hive when it was cheaper. Not starting playing splinterlands seriously earlier.

I do not regret moving to hive. Most of the people I knew on steemit are now here. I am super introvert and starting building connections and friendships from scratch would be very annoying.

Hive, notably Peakd, is way better than Steemit. But it was easier there as far as automation was concerned. Still, I haven't learned about everything here yet and I'm still learning. I think Steemit still has some uses, mostly, to use to post random stuff that you wouldn't put on your highest quality blog. But Idk. Idk really. I'm powering down over there.
