Ask the Hive: what is your most successful post on Hive?

avatar

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Welcome to my ATH (Ask the Hive) weekly series that I created to increase the engagement level on Hive (or at least among my followers).

In the last round, we had a very interesting and prolific debate about books that eventually generated as many as 19 comments - thanks for your contribution guys! I hope we will have a lot of engagement in this round too :)

The question for this round is: what is your most successful post on Hive?

hivenovy.png

Just two days ago, I published this post about the Bila Opava Valley and to my surprise, it eventually turned out what must be the most successful post I have ever made on Hive (or on Steem before). I wouldn´t say it was my best post (I remember making much more elaborate posts with longer write-ups and even more photos) but for some reason, it was this post what attracted the largest number of big curators and also one of the largest comment feedbacks of all my posts ever published here. Let me take this opportunity to thank everyone who supported, commented on or just read that post. I was really amazed by the enormous positive response from you.

So how about you guys? What has been your most successful post so far? Would you say it is also the best post you have made here? Let me know in the comment section below, I am looking forward to checking out your replies and the posts :)

As usually, I will try to upvote all relevant comments.

Thanks man :) It´s still a pretty new project of mine but some of the previous rounds of the series generated a lot of engagement indeed so hopefully, it will find its audience. Have a nice weekend :)

Here is my most successful post on hive (and steem too). My adventure to a sunken village from Transylvania called Geamana. When I get back to this post and read all the comments and see the reward pool, I tend to feel the same emotions all over again which bring a huge smile of my face even if the story shared in the post is not even close to a happy one.

Personally, I feel like I had some other posts perhaps as good as this one, even longer and well detailed but the thing which had a bigger impact this time most likely it was the story shared and my personal thoughts while I often try to be as objective as possible.

Either way, it was a great experience and it's nice to see so many people appreciating your work which btw I worked around 12 hours on that post which includes editing, formatting, writing and deleting and writing again, putting things in order plus research, and so on :)

I remember this post very well, I commented on it too back then :) I think it even was on the trending page for a few days. Seemed like you literally hit the jackpot with this one but I was so happy for you because I know how much time and effort you put in your posts and unfortunately, not all of them get the recognition they deserve. But this one about Geamana was really epic. Thanks for your contribution to the debate Gabriela.

Congratulations again on success of your post couple of days ago!
Well deserved reward for your hard work.

My most successful post was second part of my Namibia travel story. I would also say it is far from my best posts from this series, but somehow it attract high reward payout.
Thanks to your help as well ;)

Will I will try to beat this with next parts of my Namibian travel story as I have few days from our trip left to share...

Thanks Andy :) You and your large TipU vote played an important role in that too and I am very grateful for that.

I remember this part of your Namibian series :) Yeah, sometimes, the recognition is quite random and unpredictable :D But I am really glad that most of your Namibian posts got some decent support from curators because those are really top notch pieces that deserve the attention. Glad to know that a few more Namibian posts are still to come :) Looking forward to checking them out.

In terms of rewards, it was the transcript of a Hive AMA.
In terms of engagement, it was one whiny post I wrote about my disapproval of a certain Hive DAO proposal.

Haha, posts about DAO proposals generate a lot of engagement (and arguments :D) very often.

i had some posts as a noob on the chain, back in the 4$ era, but it was $ not hive. i am not really sure about what was the most successful, but here is one that i am happy with and it did really good for my standards of earning and engagement https://peakd.com/@bil.prag/cats-of-corfu-island

Ha! I remember this one :) I think it even was on the trending page for some time... Beautiful collection. And yeah, back then in the ATH era, I remember getting more than a hundred dollars on some of my posts but the dollar value is very misleading in this case. Those posts would be worth just a few dollars now... It´s the Hive value of the votes what matters.

i had 2 posts that were really close to a 100$, it was crazy. and i remember that because that was first and only time that i change hive to btc to RSD and divided it with my friends that played in that video (it was around 20$ each)

This was my most successfull Post so far i think (i even have had one about surfing in the same range)
But i would definitly say that it was my best one too in hive
It was an incredible experience and i think the Pictures can show this a little bit
And yeah like most of us write here it was a longer one than usual
But interesting to see that some of you think that your best posts wasnt the succesfull one :))

Aww, that´s a beautiful one :) Well deserved reward for sure. But I noticed that some of your TravelFeed posts have been also doing very well recently. Glad to know that quality is rewarded here on Hive ;) Thanks for your contribution to the debate, Katrin.

Congratulations!!!

My most successful post has been this: https://hive.blog/hive-184437/@sofathana/under-the-seduction-of-rio-de-janeiro-part-ii

I don't think it's the best I've written, but Rio de Janeiro tends to have these effects hahaha... Of course my excitement at receiving such a great reward was enormous!

Keep up your excellent work @phortun!

In the past month it was this Post...

I had one even more successful while we were still on steemit. I hope my new post gets some attention as well.😜

Good job with both of them :) I noticed you are now writing your posts in both English and German. Hopefully, your hard work will be recognized. It should with all the great curation projects going on these days...

Yes, I did this in early steemit times but stopped then. It’s a bit more work but hopefully reaches more people.

I am sure it will. The German community is one of the largest and most powerful on Hive :)

Ahh this one took me down memory lane. I know it actually was written on Steem but it's still part of the hive blockchain!

Dollar wise this was my most successful at a whooping 250STU.

https://peakd.com/travel/@holm/holm-s-europe-bike-tour-3-austria-part-2

It's not even that good but it was one of my first posts I made on Steem back then.

Second and the one that's still relevant today was this one:
https://peakd.com/story/@holm/soulmates-what-a-cycling-tour-of-5000km-made-me-realize-warning-long-story

Also got really successfull at 160STU and a bit better written.

Good times indeed!

Haha yeah it's quite a while back now although it feels like yesterday!

I'm still checking in from time to time, wish I had more time here but I've been busy. Although I have a few trips I did through the summer that I haven't shared!

Take care wherever you are my man!
