And it is that with my fascination for mind games, adopting certain tastes that my brothers didn't share, but when I read the invitation to this contest, only had to think that I could entertain hours and hours, two options came to my mind... One, tetris - but that could not be considered a board game-; the other, the puzzles.

Y es que con mi fascinación por los juegos mentales, fuí adoptando ciertos gustos que mis hermanos no compartían, pero cuando leí la invitación a este concurso, sólo tuvo que pensar en que podía pasar horas y horas entretenida, dos opciones vinieron a mi mente... Una, el tetris -pero ese no podía ser considerado un juego de mesa; la otra, los rompecabezas.

I WAS BORING / ABURRIMIENTO

When i was a little girl, My parents bought us the simplest puzzles, those specialized for children, with fashionable cartoons as the central point; but they ended up boring me, is that solved them with an ease that ended up bothering my brothers.

Desde pequeña, nos compraban los rompecabezas más sencillos, esos especializados para niños, con dibujos animados de moda como imagen central; pero a mi me terminaban aburriendo, es que los solucionaba con una facilidad que terminaba molestando a mis colaboradores.

Little by little, I created my own ways to challenge myself for more funny time: putting them together against the clock, mixing the pieces of two puzzles and putting them together at the same time, etc.

Poco a poco, fui creando mis propias maneras de retarme más: armarlos contra reloj, mezclar las piezas de dos rompecabezas y armarlos al mismo tiempo, etc.

MANY TYPES OF IT / VARIEDAD INESPERADA

Quickly understood that puzzles became my best way to entertain myself when finished the homework very quickly. My fascination was so evident that all my uncles began to give me puzzles un My b-day or Christmas... when more difficult the puzzle was, the more stimulating was for me.

Rápidamente fuí entendiendo que los rompecabezas pasaron a ser mi mejor forma de entretenerme cuando terminaba muy rápido la tarea. Era tan evidente mi fascinación que todos mis tíos comenzaron a regalarme rompecabezas... Mientras el rompecabezas fuera más difícil, también era más estimulante.

Year after year, in my Christmas letter I asked for more puzzles and with more pieces. Start with one puzzle of 300 pieces to one of 1000, then to one of 3000, 5000 and 10,000 pieces.

Some were simple landscapes, others of some works of art, another a medieval map -that symbolized what today would be a world map- and My favorite puzzle, was based on a photo.

Año tras año pedía en mi carta de navidad más rompecabezas y con más piezas, pase de uno de 300 piezas a uno de 1000, luego a uno de 3000, 5000 y 10000 piezas.

Algunos eran paisajes sencillos, otros de algunas obras de arte, otro un mapa medieval que simbolizaba lo que en la actualidad sería un mapamundi y, el que más me gustó, estaba basado en una foto.

MY LOVELY THING / MI PREFERIDO

As I mentioned in the previous paragraph, My favorite puzzle is based on a photo, which had been edited so that it had a B&W effect, in which there was only color in some flowers of the design. It was a very tender image of two children and the difficulty of almost everything being shades of gray... It was the most amazing thing!

Tal y como les comentaba en el párrafo anterior, el rompecabezas que más me gustó fue uno que estaba basado una foto, la cual había sido editada para que estuviera con un efecto blanco y negro, en el que sólo existía color en ciertas rosas del diseño. Era una imagen muy tierna dos niños y la dificultad de que casi todo fueran tonos de grises... ¡Fue lo más alucinante!

Before I could did this puzzle in 6 or 8 hours maybe, but, to make this post I do it only took about 2 hours or less. I'm still enjoying it as much as the first time!

Antes podía armar este rompecabezas en aproximadamente 6 u 8 horas, para realizar este post lo volví a armar y sólo tardé unas 2 horas o menos. ¡Sigo disfrutándolo tanto como la primera vez!
