Is The Internet Really Evolving? Is This An Opportunity?
The internet served across Africa isn't evolved in comparison to that of the West. This has been the case for ages and till date. While this is a factor hampering the evolution of innovations stemming for Africa, it also spells 'opportunity'.
While the world at large think it is advancing infrastructurally and
technologically, the scope of their advancement is still very limited and largely under-used.
Focusing on internet-based innovations for instance, how many of the thousands of apps on say appstore and google playstore are largely used, besides super-powers like Facebook and Google. You can recount Instagram, Whatsapp, Youtube too, owned by Google and Facebook.
Why is this the case?
We can't say that we have a fully-evolved internet overall either or can we? How come then, that till date, there isn't even one web-page or internet-innovation that truly 'answers the questions'. Google till date, won't send you to 'the address to the nearest ATM', when you type the query 'money' into it.
Is google static then or dynamic?
Based on a model, where 'content is king', has google really evolved over the course of time or has it stayed static, recycling the same information 'popular' from ages past? How is the internet really modeled and has it really advanced?
Till date, Kickstarter isn't enabled for African locations for instance, neither is Indiegogo, neither is Facebook's crowdfunding feature, neither is Medium's partner program, among others. If this was the case 10 years ago and this is the case now, when we are entering the era of 'internet 3.0', with tools like blockchain etc, is the internet really advancing then or is it simply recycling paradigms and systems popular by world-standards.
Speaking of opportunity, it is perhaps time for innovators to really re-look at the internet to really advance it.
Identify what's missing in it in terms of 'innovation' and create these innovations instead of creating a variation of the same old innovations and recycling the same old paradigms.
Blockchain is a tool to this effect, however it is already fading because so early on in its life, people have replayed existing paradigms and world systems, limiting the evolution of blockchain.
'Innovations' on blockchain are we have it today, have mostly been a replay of existing innovations with 'a reward-distribution mechanism', instantly eliminating the 'unconventionality' element of blockchain technology and making it mostly 'a reward-distributor'. It isn't coincidence thus, that till date, bitcoin is known mostly as a digital currency without much reference to its potency as a blockchain.
Will AI technology really constitute an advancement then or will it simply replay/guard the systems that permeates the world, 'systems' that have been turned into 'standards'; world-standards! Do these 'world-standards' apply in every sphere of the world though and if not, having used them to model innovations that seek to cater to the entire globe, will they really advance?
Kindly Support The Setup Of Macrohard In The Philippines
This is a proposal to appeal to you to help us kick-start ‘the setup of a physical hub in the Philippines called MACROHARD’. This hub will look to gather people from all industries, especially ‘programmers’ hailing from the Philippines. Together we will create a strong network of ‘brother’ programmers, entrepreneurs and innovators who will contribute to the development and progress of many noble dreams, with especial focus on helping project-owners who aren’t programmers build projects. MACROHARD will dynamically emanate ‘down-to-earth’ innovations, projects and initiatives’ modeled to return value to humans.
Long term, MACROHARD will have hubs in various locations across the Philippines, after which it will begin to have hubs in various locations around the globe.
So far, i have gathered some of the basic items required to start the hub. What i seek currently is ‘funding’ to rent a hub for a period of 6-months and start out MACROHARD.
I am currently seeking the sum of ‘5000 USD’.
Besides direct financial support, i would relish support in a variety of other forms.
Donation Details
Here is what i will spend ‘5000 USD’ on:
- 3000 USD – Renting a spacious hub in Manila, Philippines for a minimum of 6-months, likely 500 USD per month.
- 1,500 USD – Purchasing ‘3 high-end PCs’, each costing a 500 USD. (These PCs will enable me partner with US-based company to provide them with some of their outsourcing needs.)
- 500 USD – Solid internet as needed, with speed up to 125 MBPS.

For instance, we can dedicate 50-videos from 50-brothers/sisters to propagating your brand or initiative, have someone code your tool/project or have a brother/sister create your brand-graphics etc.

I currently have an online community made up of 5,000 Filipinos, focused on the ‘freelancing’ industry. At this stage of our evolution, it has become paramount to have a physical rendezvous avenue in the form of a ‘hub’ to enhance our impact in the physical Philippines.
