Go Skateboarding Day 2019 with the special guest Eddie "El Gato" Elguera.
Hello here. I'm new in this community and the only thing I can contribute to this place is my photographs taken during different live-action events, where these skateboards were the only transport prohibited to use for transportation from point A to point B and in circles between.
Now serious. It was my last time I photographed during the worldwide Go Skateboarding Day. It was in 2019. The year 2020 was empty by this kind of event, even the skateparks were packed despite the restrictions.
The Go Skateboarding Day 2019 was very special due to the unforgettable visit of a 2-time world champion skateboarder and senior pastor of The Rock Church of Coachella Valley, in the Palm Springs area of Southern California from Bellflower, California.
Eddie, now in his 50s, still competes worldwide and continues to rank in the top 5 of the Master's Division on World Cup Skateboarding. He is considered an innovator, legend, and mentor by many in the skateboard industry including Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Christian Hosoi, and Eric Koston.
