¡NUEVAS BOTAS DE BAILE! (más de tres meses para tenerlas conmigo, storytime) [ESP-ENG]

En noviembre del año pasado gané estas botas de baile en un concurso por Instagram, mi emoción desde entonces fue inmensa porque siempre me ha gustado como se ve este tipo de zapatos bailando y aparte, el modelo es de una colección de Ermes Dance junto a una de mis maestras y bailarinas favoritas de Bachata, Sara Panero. Para el concurso hubo dos colores a elegir entre las ganadoras, unas beige y estás color negro que me tenían indecisa, porque ambas se ven hermosas; pero como dicen por allí, el negro combina con todo, por lo que me decidí por este color, que a diferencia de las otras, tienen detalles en patente que considero le dan un toque más imponente al baile.

In November last year I won these dance boots in a contest on Instagram, my excitement since then was immense because I've always liked how this type of shoes look dancing and besides, the model is from a collection of Ermes Dance with one of my teachers and favourite Bachata dancers, Sara Panero. For the contest there were two colours to choose between the winners, some beige and some black which had me undecided, because both look beautiful; but as they say, black goes with everything, so I decided for this colour, which unlike the others, have details in patent that I consider give a more impressive touch to the dance.

Pero me imagino que se preguntarán cómo es que estoy haciendo este post ahorita si me las gané en noviembre? Bueeno, las botas fueron enviadas desde España, en un inicio me dijeron que el envío podría durar dos semanas cuando mucho en llegar a Venezuela, yo estuve siempre muy atenta, me enviaron un link donde podía rastrear el envío y cercano a la fecha le escribí a la marca para ver si sabían algo al respecto de por qué no habían llegado, o cuanto podrían tardar, ya que en diciembre yo estuve de viaje a otro estado, y pues no saber en qué fecha llegarían me generaba cierta ansiedad. Ellos esa información no la manejaban, me dijeron que por la época decembrina podrían estar tardando más los envíos, y digamos que con eso me quedé un poco las tranquila, pero igual, muy atenta rastreando el envío (que no se movía del mismo lugar después de pasado un mes, cabe destacar).

Yo supuse que las botas las habían mandado en barco (aunque en la página aparecía un avión) y pues lo que siempre había escuchado de eso es que tarda hasta tres meses en llegar; cuando me acordaba de darle seguimiento me seguía indicando el mismo lugar hasta mediados del mes de febrero que por fin el indicador se movió y notificaba que ya el paquete estaba con la persona responsable en entregármelo, eso me dio calma y un poquito de emoción, me dije seguro que en marzo las tendría conmigo. Justo el 01/04 recibí un mensaje por whatsapp de la agencia donde me pedían ir a recoger el paquete lo antes posible porque estaban próximo a devolverlo porque llevaba muchos días esperando y yo tipo “🙃🙃???” jajaja.

But I guess you're wondering how come I'm doing this post right now if I won them in November? Well, the boots were sent from Spain, at first I was told that the shipment could take two weeks at the most to arrive in Venezuela, I was always very attentive, they sent me a link where I could track the shipment and close to the date I wrote to the brand to see if they knew anything about why they had not arrived, or how long it could take, since in December I was travelling to another state, and not knowing when they would arrive generated some anxiety in me. They didn't have that information, they told me that it might take longer for the shipments to arrive, and let's just say that that put my mind at rest, but I was still very attentive to tracking the shipment (which didn't move from the same place after a month, it's worth noting).

I assumed that the boots had been sent by ship (although on the website it appeared to be a plane) and what I had always heard is that it takes up to three months to arrive; when I remembered to track it, it kept indicating the same place until mid-February when finally the indicator moved and notified me that the package was with the person responsible for delivering it to me, that gave me calm and a little excitement, I said to myself for sure that in March I would have them with me. Just on 01/04 I received a message by whatsapp from the agency where they asked me to pick up the package as soon as possible because they were about to return it because I had been waiting for many days and I was like "🙃🙃?????" hahaha.

Ese día casualmente no tenía nada importante que hacer en la tarde y apurada fui antes de que cerraran; primero, no tenía conocimiento de que el paquete lo tenía que recoger en un sitio específico porque a mi me pidieron la dirección de mi casa para entregarlo a domicilio, pero por suerte, la agencia es bastante cerca de la zona en donde vivo, llegué rápido y el proceso de entrega no fue para nada engorroso, solo tuve que pagar 12$ apoximadamente no se de que, me supongo que por servicio, que no tenía planificado porque el envío fue gratis de parte de la marca, pero gracias al cielo tenía disponible el dinero, lo único que quería era tener mis botas. Además, conversando con la chica que me atendió me dice que el paquete estaba desde diciembre en la agencia, es decir, que el envío duró unas dos semanas justo en llegar, como me habían dicho... también me preguntó si no me habían avisado, a lo que por supuesto respondí que no. Fue una falla muy grande de parte de ellos, porque ok, quizás me llegaron a llamar en diciembre y no me pudieron localizar, pero coye, habían pasado tres meses enteros, por qué no enviar un mensaje por whatsapp como lo hicieron esta vez? Pero en fin, lo importante es que regresé a casa muy emocionada y contenta con mi cajita, jeje.

Cuando abrí la caja, con solo ver el papel que envolvía con el logo de Ermes me entró una felicidad grandísima en forma de ganas de llorar JAJAJ (si, soy bastante sensible para esas cosas), porque dentro de todo consideré que no fue casualidad recibirlas ese día, lo tomé como un regalo de pre-cumpleaños. Cada detalle es sencillamente hermoso! Amé las tarjetitas, el bolsito personalizado para guardarlas, y las botas como tal, ni se digan, BELLÍSIMAS😍. Me quedaron justas de talla pero si las puedo utilizar, y quizás estiren un poquito conforme el tiempo; son sumamente cómodas y me hacen sentir como empoderada tenerlas puestas. Para la fecha en que publico el post aún no me las he estrenado, pero estoy segura que nadie me va a aguantar cuando me las ponga para bailar jajaja...

That day I happened to have nothing important to do in the afternoon and I rushed there before closing time; first, I didn't know that I had to pick up the package in a specific place because they asked me for my home address to deliver it to my house, but luckily, the agency is quite close to the area where I live, I arrived quickly and the delivery process was not cumbersome at all, I only had to pay 12$ approximately, I don't know what, I guess it was for service, which was not planned because the shipping was free from the brand, but thank heavens I had the money available, the only thing I wanted was to have my boots. In addition, talking to the girl who attended me, she told me that the package had been at the agency since December, that is, that the shipment took about two weeks to arrive, as I had been told... she also asked me if I had not been notified, to which of course I answered no. I was told that I had not. It was a big failure on their part, because ok, maybe they called me in December and couldn't reach me, but hey, three whole months had passed, why not send a message by whatsapp like they did this time? But anyway, the important thing is that I returned home very excited and happy with my little box, hehe.

When I opened the box, just by looking at the paper wrapped with the Ermes logo, I felt so happy that I wanted to cry haha (yes, I'm quite sensitive for those things), because I considered that it wasn't a coincidence to receive them that day, I took it as a pre-birthday present. Every detail is simply beautiful! I loved the little cards, the personalised bag to keep them in, and the boots as such, not to mention, BEAUTIFUL😍. They were just the right size for me but I can use them, and maybe they will stretch a bit as time goes by; they are extremely comfortable and make me feel empowered to wear them. At the time of writing this post I haven't worn them yet, but I'm sure no one will be able to stand me when I wear them to dance hahaha....

En serio que este regalo me hizo el día y el mes entero, siento mucho agradecimiento por tenerlas y haber tenido el privilegio de ganar ese concurso. Tener zapatos propios de baile mejoran y dan más estilo, aparte de hacerte sentir más seguro y en confianza; las voy a cuidar un montón y darles buen uso para acostumbrarme a ellas (el tacón es un poquito más alto a lo que yo estaba acostumbrada). Seriously this gift made my day and my whole month, I am so grateful to have them and to have had the privilege of winning this competition. Having your own dancing shoes improves and gives you more style, apart from making you feel more confident and secure; I'm going to look after them a lot and give them good use to get used to them (the heel is a little higher than what I was used to).
