When I’m alone within my thoughts,
I walk forgotten corridors;
I enter lost rooms with old doors
and dive into remorse and tricking trapdoors.
I’m mad, I’m mad, I’m mad
when I am left alone
to share a tiny moment with my own.
The dainty manners of my shadows
which keep them hidden from the world,
they’re lost, they’re lost the very minute
in which I close my eyes to think a little.
They grab me by the neck and stab their threats.
They tell my secrets to the walls
and tell the truth from what is not
and so my shame twists like a leech,
which sucks from sour salty weeds.
I see the gardens from the windows;
their song has still some shades of green,
but I go down no matter what;
the stairs command my soul to sink.
