A Glow In The Dark

A glow in the dark,
like fireflies that rattles
the elephant's grasses
in the middle of the meadow,
Illumes the obeche tree,
as fading stars falls
on the shadows
of the boughs and branches!

Aye, what a sight!
when the floodlight comes
and the rain gentle trickles
falling in twats and thumps
piecing the streets
with angel like blare,
like a follow light
stalking my sleep
and hitting my unprepared eyes
in its wake.

A story is born
from my itchy throat
of how God,
in his magnificence
moved through the darkness
and carved forth the sun
and warmth comes
and winter followed free

Swiftly a beacon ignites,
in a jiffy,
in the starkest of evening,
stripping the dark
of its enthralling grip
on my parched throats
and today I have seen,
seen the twitches of blackness
and her menaces on me,
and my sight has lost the spark
to behold a flower smiling sweetly

For ounce, an ounce of beam
is the beauty of a gleam
for dewdrops and raindrops
is of no beauty
when I can't behold thunders
moaning through the clouds
and lightning flashing
across the stormy skies
for what is all enchantment
if I can't glimpse it?

What is an eye?
without it coming awake
in the morn
and gaze upon nothing?
how then shall I, see the heavens
and my heart bumps
in contours of awe?
