Harry, a young good-looking man with a very nice physique which every lady would love to have in her arms. Well, I won't say "every lady" because zoey doesn't tend to crave for him like most girls do.
Zoey and Harry are working in the same company, she's independent but a very social person and very hardworking as well. Harry on the other hand, the desire of most ladies, is a bachelor and very hardworking as well.
There was a presentation that was to be made, and Zoey was the first to make her presentation during the board meeting. While presenting, Harry admires her, saw how beautiful she was,he wasn't even concentrating in the presentation though. It was his own time to present, he fumbled because he wasn't preparing enough rather he was admiring zoey, lol it was funny.
After the presentation, he wanted to talk to zoey but his pride won't let him, he feels the girl is supposed to talk to him yet he still admires the girl. Zoey on the other hand,didn't know what's going on actually. Harry couldn't still talk to her and explain his emotions to her.
It was a Monday, zoey's birthday, she woke up, prayed to God to take over the day and prepared for work. On reaching the office, no one was at the office, it was as if everyone was sacked, she called out to people, yet couldn't hear them answer to her, she went straight to her office, opened the door and to her greatest surprise, her colleagues were with various gifts for her and immediately sang a birthday song for her while Harry played the violin for her. They all gave her gifts but the one that got her most, was the roses given to her by Harry which had a short note attached to it but she kept it and focused on the day's work.
She got back home, opened all the gifts but this roses still kept making her happy and smile. She got the little note and opened it. What was written was "zoey, I love you...just give me a chance".
Zoey was trying to know why Harry of all people telling her, he's in love with her. It surprised her though.
She kept everything and went to bed.
The next day on reaching the office,she saw harry waiting for her to arrive. She wanted to be rude to him though but Harry calmed her down to tell her his emotions towards her and asked her for a dinner date, which she accepted and decided to give Harry a chance.

You introduce us to the main characters early in the story. We understand the dynamic between Zoey and Harry: he is interested, and she is not. The roses make the difference. Harry's bold move could have misfired, but Zoey is moved by the gesture and romance blooms.
