Journey through my logo - Part 2 // ENG-ESP
Last week, I told you how the evolution of my brand's logo design had started, and it's my duty to continue the process and tell you how turn out, i also take advantage of it and publish it in this community since that's what i did this weekend too! The truth is that it was a week-long work! hahahaha now, if you didn't see the beginning here i leave the link Journey through my logo.
After this post i received a lot of nice messages and support from my fellow community members @miriannalis, @bigtom13, @sunitahive and @sofiaquino98 they liked the logo just as it was at the end of the post, thanks again for stopping by my blog.
La semana pasada, les contaba como había comenzado la evolución del diseño del logo de mi marca, y es mi deber continuarles el proceso y contarles cómo me fué, aprovecho también y lo publico en esta comunidad ya que fue lo que hice este fin de semana también! La verdad fue un trabajo de toda la semana! hahahaha pero bueno, si no viste el inicio aquí dejo el link Journey through my logo.
Luego de este post recibí muchos mensajes bonitos y apoyo de mis compañeros de comunidad @miriannalis, @bigtom13, @sunitahive y @sofiaquino98 a ellos les gustó el logo justo como me quedó al final del post, gracias de nuevo por pasarse por mi blog.
The detail with this logo, is that i also asked for professional help from a Publicist and a Graphic Designer friend of mine (Miguel and Ilio thanks for your support), and after analyzing it they told me that it didn't work 100% for the following reasons:
- It has a lot of information going on.
- The typography is over worked, the curved lera together with the three legs of the tripod is a lot, and it doesn't have a focal point.
- The logo should be understood if i reduce the size, in my case was lost by the colors the shape... I tried to add a white outline to differentiate but it did not look good aesthetically.
- The isotype (the figure on the right) and the logotype (the one on the left) should not be so different. Usually the isotype is placed inside the logo to form the logo itself. And that it can be decomposed without much work.
- Also that it may try to change the typography.
- They recommended e to look for references that have several colors, to see how they handle it.
And well, even though my heart said yes, i must be guided by professionals in the area, so i did not give up... and kept trying with the ideas they were telling me.
El detalle con este logo, es que pedí también ayuda profesional de un Publicista y un Diseñador Gráfico amigos míos (Miguel e Ilio gracias por su apoyo), y luego de analizarlo me dijeron que no funcionaba al 100% por las siguientes razones:
- Tiene mucha información junta.
- La tipografía esta muy trabajada, la lera curva junto con las tres patas del trípode es mucho, y no tiene un punto focal.
- El logo se debe entender si le disminuyo el tamaño, en mi caso se perdía por los colores la forma... intenté agregarle un contorno blanco para diferenciar pero no se veía estéticamente bien.
- El isotipo (la figura de la derecha) y el logotipo (la de la izquierda) no deben ser tan diferentes. Normalmente el isotipo se coloca dentro del logotipo para formar el logo. Y que se pueda descomponer sin mucho trabajo.
- También que intentara cambiar la tipografía.
- Me recomendaron buscar referentes que tengan varios colores, para ver como lo manejan.
Y bueno, aunque mi corazón diga que sí, debo guiarme de los profesionales en el área, así que no me rendí... y seguí probando con las ideas que me iban diciendo.
Thanks @justclickindiva for giving me the idea of giving color to the background, i thought it was good, because this way i eliminate some of the colors and simplify the logo.
It also occurred to her that i could use the colors of the first logo, which he liked very much (me too), but at the time of placing them in the logo they didn't make me much harmony... and as they are all very strong colors they don't make much contrast.
Gracias @justclickindiva por darme la idea de darle color al fondo, me pareció buena, por que así elimino alguno de los colores y simplifico le logo.
También se le ocurrió que podía utilizar los colores del primer logo, que le gustaron mucho (a mi también), pero al momento de colocarlos en el logo no me hacían mucha armonía... y como todos son colores muy fuertes no hacen mucho contraste.
My friend @librepensadora liked this option better, so i tried to perfect it, added the third color, and made the figure smaller so that it could be understood better... but it was the same with the other logo, which when i made it small didn't work because it wasn't understood. And several people mentioned to me that they liked this one and called it as ¨The one with the paint stain¨ hahahaha, when in fact it is the center of the flower decomposed as a figure... so it didn't fulfill its purpose, it gives us the impression that it is a paint stain! So i had to abandon it. But thanks @librepensadora for your help, i also visually liked it.
Also my friend @ykroys, was so nice to talk to me privately in Telegram and give me other recommendations. Thank you so much for your help!
- She recommended that the logo should be simple but attractive. That i should simplify my identifier, for example, it is not necessary to place each leg separately, that i can try to merge both elements.
- Maybe merge the tripod leg into the petal and have the shape of your hand or camera.
- Give a little more movement to the petal.
- And i think the best advice she gave me was to be patient! hahahaha ¨The process of an identifier is long and creative. Keep going until your imaginación explodes¨.
Mi amiga @librepensadora le gustó más esta opción, entonces intenté perfeccionarla, le agregué el tercer color, y achiqué un poco la figura para que se entienda mejor... pero me pasaba lo mismo que con el otro logo, que cuando lo ponía pequeño no me funcionaba porque no se entendía. Y varias personas me mencionaron que le gustó este y lo llamaron como ¨El de manchas de pintura¨ hahahaha, cuando en realidad es el centro de la flor descompuesto como una mancha... así que no cumplió su cometido, nos da la impresión de que es una tienda de pintura! Así que tuve que abandonarlo. Pero gracias @librepensadora por tu ayuda, a mí también visualmente me gustaba.
También mi amiga @ykroys, fué tan agradable de hablarme por privado en Telegram y darme otras recomendaciones. Gracias mil por tu ayuda!!
- Me recomendó que el logo debía ser simple pero atractivo. Que podia simplifica mi identificador, por ejemplo, no es necesario colocar cada pata por separado, que tratara de fusionar ambos elementos.
- Tal vez fusionar la pata del trípode dentro de la hoja y tenga la forma de tu mano o cámara.
- Darle un poco más de movimiento a al pétalo.
- Y creo que el mejor consejo que me dió fue que tuviera paciencia! hahahaha ¨El proceso de un identificador es largo y creativo. Sigue hasta que explote tu imaginación¨.
And well, after all this i decided to go back to the beginning... and start from scratch to look for another typeface...
Y nada, luego de todo esto decidí retroceder al inicio... y comenzar de cero a buscar otra tipografía...
I chose some of them for testing, and created a simpler logo with more movement... but i couldn't find any typeface that would fill me up as much as the one i already had... So i went back to the original.
Elegí algunas de ellas para hacer pruebas, y creé un logotipo mas simple y con más movimiento... pero no encontré ninguna tipografía que me llenara tanto como la que ya tenía... Así que volví a la original.
And Voila! That's how the logo looks like, this time is super simple, i have the written content below, i have the organic typography that matches the petals, which symbolizes nature, alleging the content of my brand. I have a focal point. I understand that the tripod is implicit in the name and that it is for photography, it[s more sutil now, it is decomposed into the triad of the tripod that means, three colors - three legs - three objects. Also the way the petals are placed is like the tripod, attached above to support the camera and below separated to create resistance. very subjective really, but adding it literally make the design more complicated.. And finally, all the beautiful colors that i fell in love with from the beginning, this time it is simple, it is organic, practical and i don't even have to explain where the isotype is because it is very clear.
And well, although it doesn't look as worked as the previous one, i just love it... and somenone said that in simplicity there is true beauty on things, let's listen to the one who invented the phrase.
A thousand thanks again to everyone who helped me in this process! I am super satisfied with the result.
Y Voilá! Así quedó el logo, en esta ocasión si lo tengo super simple, tengo el contenido debajo, tengo la tipografía orgánica que hace juego con los pétalos, que simboliza la naturaleza, alegando el contenido de mi marca. Tengo punto focal. El trípode entiendo que queda implícito en el nombre y que es de fotografía, y queda simbolizado mas sutilmente, se descompone en la tríada del trípode, es decir, tres colores - tres patas - tres objetos. También la forma en que se colocan los pétalos es como el trípode, unidos por encima para apoyar la cámara y por debajo separados para crear resistencia. Muy subjetivo en realidad, pero añadirlo literalmente hace que el diseño sea más complicado. Y por ultimo, sobre todo los hermosos colores que desde un principio me enamoraron, esta vez es simple, es orgánico, práctico y nisiquiera tengo que explicarles cuál es el isotipo porque esta clarisimo.
Y nada, aunque no se ve tan trabajado como el anterior, me encanta... y dicen que en lo simple está verdadera belleza de las cosas, hagámosle caso al que se inventó la frase.

Sencillo pero lindo, me gusta mucho como quedó, quizás yo por ser inquieto le hubiese colocado el tripode cerrado debajo de las palabras en posición horizontal, como si fuera una linea (espero me entiendas,jajaja).. En fin, hermoso.. Éxitos bella @tripode.

I miss the tripod. I understand perfectly why it needed to go, and this is really simple and rememberable. The way it ought to be.
I guess I'm just more deliberate than the 'masses'. I love finding little things like a tripod in a logo. I get the differences, I spent years trying to get landing pages that loaded in less than 0.2 seconds. Your logo is instantly recognizable now. The right answer.
