A night out at the bar.

Working all day can be so stressful especially when you have a target to meet. I always look forward to the weekend so I can unwind and relax until the next week when I would have to get my ass back on the chair while I keep staring at my laptop. The weekend is here and I decided to try something I have never done even though I used to go out on a treat during the day at any bar or eatery closest to my house. But this weekend is a different one because I would be having a night out at the new bar that was just opened a few days ago.

I got myself a beautiful red gown that was flattering and comfortable on me. Well, I am trying something new for the first time and I shouldn't go beyond too. I applied a little make-up that wasn't so revealing or one that could change my entire look. I love being firm and simple and still maintaining my real self.

I quickly dashed to the ATM stand and withdrew some amount that would be enough for the outing since it was only me, I don't need to budget for anyone but one has to plan for the unexpected. I had to withdraw more than enough for myself.

I took a cab straight to the bar and everywhere was bubbling as the music was hitting the air. A bar that was just opened a few days ago has been surrounded by such a number of people. I think the owner must be a well-known person who had succeeded in getting customers so quickly. As I entered inside, headed for a small corner behind the door that was leading out, I met a group of men who were having fun with some girls with them. Well, I minded my business and took a seat for myself.

While sure of getting a comfortable space, I looked up and signalled to the bartender to come over. Beside him was a young man who I think should be in his early thirties. He was sitting at the bartender's stand while sipping a glass of whatever he was taking. Something dropped on the floor and I was able to see his face clearly when he turned around to see where the sound was coming from.

Our eyes both met unexpectedly and I was still staring at him. I couldn't take my eyes off him and I didn't know when I raised my hand waving at him.

Hello, excuse me ma. What can I get for you? That was the bartender talking.

Hi! Never mind. I would like to join the guy over there.

Alright, ma!

I took my bag and everything I came to the bar with and went straight to meet this young charming guy man.

Hello, I am Princessbusayo. But you can call me Princess for short. The smile on my face gave its way already as I noticed him grinning while trying to sip the drink into his mouth.

I'm Kunle! He brought his hand and we both exchanged pleasantries.

I'm sorry for intruding into your privacy as I noticed you are alone. Can I order more drinks? I said in a low tone.

He looked at me with a surprised expression.

Oh no! It's nothing. You look good tonight. He smiled and thanked me for the compliment.

I ordered two glasses of the same drink he was drinking and we both continued gisting.

He noticed I wasn't convenient sitting on the long chair beside him. Can we go back to where you were sitting before? With a grin on my face, I said yes.

So, tell me something about you. Do you work? At where?

I dropped my cup and started giving him answers to his questions. I am a content creator and I write and earn on a Blockchain called Hive. I have been there for almost two years already. Though I am waiting for my NYSC service while I take the advantage of working from home.

Interesting, he said as he started talking about himself. That was how we talked as if we'd known each other for a long time but I was only attracted to him from a distance and I took the advantage of finding a partner to gist with all night.
