Hahah yeah, my dad gave me an amazing industrial DeWalt 20v kit this year, I was stoked! Now I can get the cordless nail gun I want to use for some stuff lol.
Only reason I have it though is cause he gave it to me, it's good stuff but too expensive for me but I do love the quality.
Yeah, getting given DeWalt is better than buying oneself that's for sure. It's professional use gear and if one isn't using it all the time it's a waste of money mostly. Same with Milwaukee and Festool...Great gear but costly. I use Ryobi One+ as I'm just a home handyman. It's never let me down and whilst not necessarily cheap, it's more cost effective.
