Weekend with the family || Visiting my aunt's garden.

Hello

Happy weekend to all.
I wish you are well with your loved ones.

Yesterday I was visiting my aunt, she lives relatively close by. Approximately 1 mile away.
I went with my daughter, as they had not seen each other for a long time. And they both missed each other very much.

We spent a very nice afternoon, having pleasant conversations and drinking coffee (the favorite drink of both of us).

My aunt showed me her yard, her plants have grown and are already bearing fruit.
It is quite loaded, the parchita plant, also known as passion flower.

Passionflower (Passiflora edulis) is a climbing plant, native to South and Central America.
Passionflower fruit is an oval or round berry, 4 to 10 cm in diameter, fibrous and juicy, covered with a thick, waxy, delicate and inedible shell. The pulp contains numerous small seeds.

I was truly amazed with the size of the parchitas, they are immense. I look forward to them being ready for consumption. My aunt is going to share her harvest with me.

With the last harvest we made parchita ice cream, it is very tasty, to enjoy as a snack, besides it is very refreshing.

The properties of this fruit are many, it is an excellent antioxidant, contains vitamin C perfect to help boost the immune system, I recently learned that this fruit also serves to control insomnia and anxiety.
So I invite you to enjoy this fruit.

Another of my aunt's plants that is beautiful is the cotton plant.

Cotton is a vegetable textile fiber that grows around the seeds of the cotton plant, a shrub of the genus Gossypium, belongs to the malvaceae family, native to tropical and subtropical regions, there are different native species in America, Africa or India. The word cotton derives from the Arabic قُطْن (al) qutn.

She has grown a cotton plant in her yard,my aunt doesn't know how this happened, because she didn't plant it, just one day it started to grow and grow.
Yesterday we picked some cotton, we removed it from the seeds, and the branches we used and made an arrangement that we placed in the living room.

This is how the cotton we removed was left.

And this was the ornament we made. I was fascinated by how beautiful it was. A simple ornament with useful material.

I suggested to my aunt to paint the gold flower to give it a touch more chip.
We had a pretty productive afternoon. My daughter enjoyed the pampering that my aunt gave her.

I hope you are enjoying of your weekend.
