SsangYong Musso Review and Road Test

The SsangYong Musso pick up truck is built on the Rexton platform and uses the same engine and same running gear as the SUV.

It's powered by a 2.2 turbo diesel four-cylinder engine and a six speed automatic gearbox with three driving modes.

If you're looking for a capable pick up it is certainly worth considering, prices start at £22,000.00, which is quite unbelievable and the thing is it comes with a seven year warranty too.

The model we have is the Saracen and it's got some rather cool features and is well refined too, including both front seats being electric, heated and ventilated even the rear seats are heated.

The rear with has award-winning space as well for its occupants and is finished in a leather style.

It has 400Nm of torque and is just under 180 bhp, economy wise you're looking at around 32mpg - however when we towed our Mercedes with it, we were still getting between 26 and 27.

This is quite crazy when you think 750 kg of trailer and in 1400 kg of Mercedes, it really did tow the car with ease.
It is a very versatile pick up, and there are 4 trims to choosefrom: The EX, Rebel, Saracen and the long wheelbase Rhino.

Our model the Saracen retails for £28,000.00.

It's a rather impressive looking pick up and it's very capable too. As you'll see in the videos we drive it across the rocky shores of Silverdale it has part-time four-wheel-drive with 4 high and 4 low it even has cruise control perfect for when you towing.

All in all an excellent pick up which is very capable and extremely good value.
