Brake pad
Many automobile owners mostly feel t hat corrective maintenance that is being carried out by their personal automobile technicians is very okay being compared with preventive maintenance and they keep correcting something that could be easily avoided.
In maintenance, there is what is called preventive and corrective maintenance. Preventive maintenance is a maintenance that is being carried out to avoid near future breakdown downtime and corrective maintenance is being carried out only after the occurrence of a downtime.
As an automobile owner or operator who is really interested in having the best performance from your car, you must learn to practice preventive maintenance more often than corrective maintenance. This prolongs the lifespan 9f the vehicle.
The brake pads are very essential in the suspension system of the vehicles as it is a functioning important factor whenever the anti-locking braking system (ABS) is being mentioned. What are brake pads? A brake pad as the nomenclature implies, is a pad-like structure which rests on the wheel drum of the rotating wheel of the tyres which is being held together by the brake caliper which has a bolt of 14mm.
Companies which manufacture brake pads, produce different types, specifications and for different car purposes. Under the classification of brake pads, it could be recorded that there are basically three types of brake pads, metallic brake pads, non-metallic brake pads and semi metallic brake pads. These various classes are being produced for different types of cars namely light passenger cars, heavy duty vehicles and Racing cars.
You could easily diagnose a faulty brake pad by putting in much effort to reduce the speed of the moving vehicle in motion. You could also diagnose a faulty brake pad by hearing some squeaks whenever the brake pedal is being depressed. The brake pad is just a component of the braking system.
Sometimes when the brake pads are bad, it leaves some black stains on the wheels, this typically let's you know that the brake pads are bad. Any questions or comment is appreciated.

STOPIt’s always good to use preventative maintenance especially with brakes, this stops you having to buy new discs each time you replace pads, thank you for sharing

Now that you say it, mine is in the workshop changing the discs, and brakes that he already had, let's see if I take a picture and share it with you here
