¡Bienvenidos de nuevo a mi blog, chicos! El día de hoy he decidido hacer un post muy loco para unirme al último concurso de @ocd; este está siendo realizado en la comunidad Planetauto y consiste en hablar sobre el carro de tus sueños y cuál sería su precio en tu país.
A pesar de que no soy para nada conocedor del mundo automovilístico, siento que igual puedo participar desde la parte emocional que ronda detrás de mi elección como auto de ensueños.
Así que, sin más que agregar, comencemos.
Welcome back to my blog, guys! Today I decided to make a crazy post to join @ocd's latest contest; this is being held in the Planetauto community and consists of talking about the car of your dreams and what its price would be in your country.
Although I'm not at all knowledgeable about the automotive world, I feel that I can still participate from the emotional part that lies behind my choice as a dream car.
So, without further ado, let's get started.
El Famoso «Escarabajo» | The Famous "Beetle"
Desde que decidí vivir la bohemia en mi vida me volví amante de este carro particularmente, pues siempre ha significado la libertad y la felicidad para las personas que aman recorrer el mundo, siempre lo he visto como un ícono de las personas que no hacen más que pensar en viajar porque de hecho, es un carro que está completamente diseñado para rodar distancias enormes sin recalentarse porque dentro de su estructura automovilística no posee radiador, ese fue un dato particular que me dió mi padre porque él tuvo la bendición de tener uno en su infancia.
Aquí en Venezuela, no solo son considerados un vehículo hermoso sino también son motivo de un pequeño juego denominado «Poncho» el cual consiste en que cada vez que veas pasar uno de estos frente a ti debes inmediatamente gritar ¡Poncho! Ya que, si no gritas primero que las personas que están jugando contigo, estos tendrán que darte un golpe en el brazo, pero si logras gritar de primero, tu tendrás el beneficio de dar dicho golpe.
Si me lo preguntan, pues no tengo ni idea de donde nació ese juego pero en fin, el Volskwagen conocido como «Escarabajo» es el carro de mi sueño para cualquier cosa, ya sea viajar o para trasladarme a distancias cortas.
Since I decided to live bohemian in my life I became a lover of this car particularly, because it has always meant freedom and happiness for people who love to travel the world, I have always seen it as an icon of people who do nothing but think about traveling because in fact, it is a car that is completely designed to roll huge distances without overheating because within its automotive structure has no radiator, that was a particular fact that my father gave me because he had the blessing of having one in his childhood.
Here in Venezuela, they are not only considered a beautiful vehicle but they are also the reason for a little game called "Poncho" which consists of every time you see one of these cars pass in front of you, you must immediately shout "Poncho!" Because, if you don't shout first than the people who are playing with you, they will have to give you a punch in the arm, but if you manage to shout first, you will have the benefit of giving that punch.
If you ask me, I have no idea where this game was born but anyway, the Volskwagen known as "Beetle" is my dream car for anything, whether traveling or for short distances.
Una anécdota sobre este carro | An anecdote about this car
Es gracioso que jamás en mi vida había visto un Escarabajo demostrar su verdadera capacidad a nivel de motor contra algún carro en una carrera o algo por el estilo, creo que el único ejemplo era el de la película Herbie, sin embargo, una vez en un lugar acá en mi país conocido como Valencia, específicamente en una urbanización conocida como El Molino, hubo una carrera callejera de carros hechas en una recta que estaba recién asfaltada.
En dicha carrera el Escarabajo que participó estaba bastante tuneado y su motor sonaba muy diferente a lo que yo estaba acostumbrado a escuchar, tenía luces de neón y dos tubos de escape; se enfrentaba a un Mustang GT y por supuesto, en una situación así, todo el mundo apostaría por el Mustang por su aceleración, torque, caballos de fuerza y todos esos elementos que influyen en la carrera.
Pero no, ese Escarabajo destruyó totalmente este carro, por supuesto el Mustang aceleró muchísimo más que el Volskwagen pero luego de 2 segundos, el pequeño Escarabajo lo pasó y lo dejó bien atrás como a 1 segundo y medio de distancia quedó más o menos y eso me demostró que más allá de ser un carro cómodo, también pueden ser poderosos.
It's funny that never in my life I had seen a Beetle demonstrate its true capacity at the engine level against any car in a race or something like that, I think the only example was the movie Herbie, however, once in a place here in my country known as Valencia, specifically in an urbanization known as El Molino, there was a street race of cars made in a straight that was newly asphalted.
In that race the Escarabajo that participated was quite tuned and its engine sounded very different from what I was used to hearing, it had neon lights and two exhaust pipes; it was facing a Mustang GT and of course, in a situation like that, everyone would bet on the Mustang for its acceleration, torque, horsepower and all those elements that influence the race.
But no, that Beetle totally destroyed this car, of course the Mustang accelerated much more than the Volskwagen but after 2 seconds, the little Beetle passed it and left it well behind about 1 second and a half behind and that showed me that beyond being a comfortable car, they can also be powerful.
La «Mamá Poncho» | The "Mama Poncho"
Más allá del amor que le tengo al Volskwagen Escarabajo, hay otra versión de la misma empresa que significa aún más para mí el viaje de mochileo por el mundo y es la famosa Combi, conocida como la «Mamá Poncho» en Venezuela, haciendo alusión a lo que hablé anteriormente pero en un mayor nivel.
Uno de mis mayores sueños en la vida es tener una Combi y poder viajar por el mundo escuchando la música desde sus raíces, en cada región del mundo y si no me creen vean esto:
Beyond the love I have for the Volskwagen Beetle, there is another version of the same company that means even more to me the backpacking trip around the world and is the famous Combi, known as the "Mamá Poncho" in Venezuela, alluding to what I spoke above but on a higher level.
One of my biggest dreams in life is to have a Combi and to be able to travel around the world listening to music from its roots, in every region of the world and if you don't believe me watch this:
Tengo un tatuaje justamente con ese modelo y decidí hacérmelo por el amor que le tengo a la música y por tenerlo como objetivo, cosa que lograré algún día, posiblemente será con otro modelo de Combi, más avanzado, así como el Nuevo Escarabajo, sería súper épico.
I have a tattoo just with that model and I decided to get it because of the love I have for music and for having it as a goal, which I will achieve someday, possibly with another model of Combi, more advanced, as well as the New Beetle, it would be super epic.
Su Precio en Venezuela | Its Price in Venezuela
Si entramos en una página llamada TuCarro.com donde hay muchísimas personas vendiendo carros usados en Venezuela, podemos encontrarnos con algunos modelos con precios que van desde los 400 USD hasta los 900 USD, pero si los conseguimos con poco kilometraje, aire y prácticamente nuevos, los venden con precios que rondan entre los 2000 USD y los 4000 USD.
Para un Venezolano promedio sería increíblemente impensable el hecho de poder costearse uno de estos (y eso que no es un carro increíblemente lujoso), y si sacáramos el precio con el precio del Hive del día de hoy, necesitaría aproximadamente 6.451 Hive para comprar uno.
If we enter a page called TuCarro.com where there are many people selling used cars in Venezuela, we can find some models with prices ranging from 400 USD to 900 USD, but if we get them with low mileage, air and practically new, they sell them with prices ranging between 2000 USD and 4000 USD.
For an average Venezuelan it would be incredibly unthinkable to be able to afford one of these (and that is not an incredibly luxurious car), and if we were to take the price with the price of the Hive today, you would need approximately 6,451 Hive to buy one.

Aircooled perfection, fantastic vehicles, we own a MK2 Golf GTI from 1991 watercooled, a rather rare Helios blue 3 door GTI 16V.
The Beetle is such an iconic car, our favourite has to be the earliest models, their simplicity, such as the Wolfsburg steering wheeling, chrome vents and modest interior.
You can throw a 911 engine in it too, perfection.

Me impactó el hecho de que tengas un tatuaje con tu carro preferido, ojalá ese sueño algun día lo puedas cumplir bro. A mi esta marca de carros siempre me ha parecido atractiva, aunque recuerdo cuando era pequeño había un vecino con un escarabajo y el carro hacía muchísimo ruido. Al comienzo no me gustaban justamente por eso, pero luego con el tiempo el diseño compacto me empezó a parecer practico y atractivo.
Es gracioso porque no es ni siquiera tanto el hecho de que quiero tener ese carro precisamente sino es el hecho de que ese carro simboliza lo que más deseo en la vida que es hacer música y escuchar música en cada parte del mundo entero, me encanta demasiado de verdad.

No me lo vas a creer, pero tenemos esto en común jaja...el carro de mis sueños también es un Volkswagen Escarabajo. Son unos carros brutales y la historia que tienen es súper genial, de hecho mi amor por este tipo de carros surge porque mi papá tiene uno 😍😍 y de verdad que es lo máximo, sobretodo porque tiene todas y cada una de sus piezas originales. Lo triste de todo es que ama tanto a su carro que ni siquiera me deja manejarlo :( jajaja.
Algún día tendrás tu propio escarabajo, lo sé demasiado jajaja así que no te preocupes que con todo el cariño que le tenemos y si lo visualizamos lo veremos realidad, el amor siempre puede más jajaja
