Toyota 2000 GT: The car of my dreams
No, I don't know much about cars.
In fact, my knowledge on the subject is basically poor.
Not only because I haven't got my license yet and I still don't know how to drive, but also because of the fact that I don't know much about car makes and models, as perhaps most people in the world do. But well, I guess it's a bit like soccer, not everyone is an expert connoisseur.
One thing is clear. When something attracts us and hooks us, we absorb everything we can about it. That applies to everything, even with people. And really, since I got hooked on this car, well... let's just say that now I know a lot more than I did before. Because I like it and because I learn as much as I can about what I'm passionate about.
So, with that in mind I want to literally share with you the car of my dreams.
Which would be what? Well, none other than the magnificent and spectacular Toyota 2000 GT.
I have been completely in love with this car for about 10 years and I find it to be the most beautiful transportation invention on the planet that man has been able to build. Maybe it sounds a bit exaggerated, but I had already mentioned to you that it is my dream car. So you can't say I didn't warn you.
Let's get to know a little bit more about the marvel of a car that I sometimes dream of driving...

No, no sé mucho de autos.
De hecho, mi conocimiento sobre el tema es básicamente pobre.
No solo porque aún no he sacado mi licencia y aún no sé conducir, sino también por el hecho de que no conozco mucho de marcas ni modelos de autos, como tal vez lo hace la mayoría de las personas en el mundo. Pero bueno, supongo que es un tanto como el tema del futbol, no todos son conocedores expertos.
Una cosa si es clara. Cuando algo nos atrae y nos engancha, absorbemos todo lo que podemos al respecto. Eso aplica a todo, incluso con las personas. Y realmente, desde que me enganché con este auto, pues... digamos que ahora se muchísimo más de lo que sabía antes. Porque me gusta y porque aprendo tanto como puedo de lo que me apasiona.
Entonces, teniendo eso en mente quiero compartir con ustedes literalmente el auto de mis sueños.
¿Que sería cuál? Pues, nada menos que el magnífico y espectacular Toyota 2000 GT.
Tengo aproximadamente 10 años enamorada por completo de este auto y me parece la invención de transporte más hermosa del planeta que ha podido construir el hombre. Tal vez suene un poco exagerado, pero ya les había mencionado que es el auto de mis sueños. Así que no pueden decir que no se los advertí.

With the collaboration of the Yamaha brand, an elegant supercar was created with the right technical conditions to be the most advanced car for the decade of the 60s.
But... how did the ideas to create it come about? Simple. Overcoming. After the success of the Japanese Grand Prix in 1963 and 1964, enthusiasm for all forms of motor racing exploded among the Japanese. This motivated them to create and develop high-performance models that were commercially attractive and comfortable to showcase the technologies and manufacturing know-how that had been accumulated since the 1930s.

The anticipation in the market was an important friend of the company, as before its commercialization the 2000 GT prototypes were entered in several races to demonstrate the performance of this magnificent car, testing its speed in the Yatabe High Speed Testing Course. At the end of the 72 hr event, the car had successfully endured and averaged a pace of 207 km/h around the circuit's sloping oval. In addition, it broke three world records and set 13 international speed and endurance records.
Simply a jewel of a car.

It consisted of reducing the size of the daytime running lights, allowing buyers to opt for air conditioning and a three-speed automatic transmission. One year later in 1970, a total of 351 units had been produced by the end of production. Of which 62 were produced with left-hand drive for the North American market. Eventually 337 units were sold as road cars.
The current price of this unheard of beauty is around $665,000 and $750,000. Being a piece that is difficult to see often, some units are strategically auctioned or suspiciously stored like the diamonds they are.
I should add that in my country Venezuela there are none for sale. So... Unless I can at some point in my life, wake up with more than $750,000 in my account (to travel and buy at auction this beauty), I will not be able to buy or drive the car of my dreams. I will simply have to break some speed records by sitting behind the wheel when I can once again dream of driving that majestic vehicle.

Thanks for posting @planetauto. Evidently, you don't know much about cars and you stated that. The Toyota 2000 GT is an amazing pick. It really made good runs for the automobile manufacturer competing with the class of supercars. No one expected this from Toyota because they specialize in economical vehicles. I guess this the Supra was in honour of the 2000 GT
