Money through gaming

I've spent a lot of time searching for money. I always have this idea about getting into that grand scheme that would just take me to my millions. That's why I got into network marketing.

I spent a year selling products and searching for downlines to grow my team and earn some money. I got in debt during this process. If you know anything about network marketing, you would know that debt is good as long as you buy products and work your ass off to sell them Even if it means lying.

After a year of no success, I realized that there was no future for me there and I had nothing more to do. That's when I bought a laptop and really got started with my Hive blogging activities.

I wish I had put in more time last year, I probably would have more than I have now. However, I have no regrets. I have put in some work and I've got some rewards.

How it began

I began playing Splinterlands in May 2020. My brother kept posting about it and I was intrigued. I don't play games but this just looked fancy. So, I got into it one day and it was so thrilling, I called him and told him how exciting I thought the game was.

He told me I could earn from it, but I brushed off what he was saying and told him I just enjoyed the thrill of winning. I was addicted to it.

At some point, I even began writing about my battles and sharing them but I stopped. I just wanted to play this game. I wasn't interested in strategy and all that, I just wanted to have fun. And I did have fun.

After a while, the game got harder and I had to spend a lot of Hive in renting cards to improve my deck and all that. Advancing to the next league became too hard and advancing to the next league used to be the best feeling for me. It gave me bragging rights.

After that, I stopped playing so often, only played sparingly, got my ass whopped too often.

The money

Well, a few days ago, my brother texted me that my Splinterlands deck was worth $447 and I was blown away.

In the 1 year, I worked my ass out in Network Marketing, I did not earn $100 of my own. I slaved just to get out of debt.

While I know I could have earned more if I did other important things and wrote consistently, I am amazed at my earnings.

I mean, I got that from just enjoying a game??? It's absurd!

My brother and I talked at length and he gave me tips on how to utilize these earnings and improve my deck. I've also come back to make sure I complete my daily quests every day.

I also intend on finding time to write about my battles once in a while. I just need to develop a structure and template for myself.

I am pleased

While I may not be earning as much as many others, I'm earning something and my presence here has been valuable. I mean $400 from gaming? It's absurd in a country like mine.

This is nice to hear and I can feel your excitement, I think I’m the most bamboozled about the results of Splinterlands, I can remember investing only a tiny fraction of what my account is worth now, I certainly played like crazy from the scratch and kept earning cards. It’s all nice to see now.
