All of you are no stranger to EQUALIZER rule set and I bet most among you(including me) love it. The reason why most of folks in splinterlands love EQUALIZER rule set is, it makes everyone equal and introduces (to some extent) a bit uncertainty into the battle. Because you never know, how dangerous a weak monster can turn out to be in EQUALIZER rule set.

EQUALIZER rule set is best suited for low mana battles where one tends to avoid mana expensive monsters. EQUALIZER levels the playing field(health wise), making even low mana cards pretty useful. Equal health for all monsters allows for using low mana card a nice meat shield and even as main attack option.

Monsters Best Suited

Although all kind of monsters can be used in EQUALIZER ruleset but low mana monsters offers best value for mana spent. Some of my favorite cards that I love to use in EQUALIZER are EXPLODING DWARF, GOBLIN SORCERER, FAILED SUMMONER, SCREECHING VULTURE, SWAMP THING, SILVERSHIELD BARD, SKELETAL WARRIOR, FALLEN SPECTER, ENCHANTED DEFENDER and FURIOUS CHICKEN.

Cost

Winning EQUALIZER battle doesn't necessarily requires costly heavy monsters. Even a decently upgraded team of commons and rares if used shrewdly can win in this rule set. So EQUALIZER ruleset signifies spending some on even low cost monsters

How to Play

There are different playing strategies for EQUALIZER rule set depending upon the battle mana.

Very Very High Mana Battle(Mana> 40)

Playing it like normal battle with all options open. Also considering low health monsters based on their attack, abilities and utility. e,g, FALLEN SPECTER.

High Mana Battles (27< Mana < 40)

Using Heavy mana monsters with paying reasonable attention to available low health(low mana) monsters. e.g. EXPLODING DWARF

Low Mana Battles ( 14 < Mana < 27)

If necessary using one heavy mana monster and also using a couple of low mana(low health) monsters with distinctive abilities. e.g. SCREECHING VULTURE. Also making sure to fill the slot with zero mana FURIOUS CHICKEN.

Very Low Mana Battles ( Mana < 14)

Using variety of low mana monsters based on abilities. e.g. FAILED SUMMONER and SCREECHING VULTURE. Also making sure to fill the slot with zero mana FURIOUS CHICKEN.
