After 4 long years, the Royal Mint has released the last in the series of the Peter Rabbit, silver Proof, 50 pence coins.

Costing £65 per coin, they are incredibly pricey for what they are, but as a collector there was no way I wasn't goi g to get a few.

It's nice to see that the mintage figure has been slashed to only 14000,with an additional 1000 for collectors sets (15000 total). This is half the other coins in the set, so should make them more desirable for anyone wishing to complete the series.

I put my order in this afternoon, as I've been unable to collect in person due to the Royal Mint being closed. As far as design goes, it's one of the nicest pictures on the series, with Peter struggling to get his fat arse under the fence.

Like other coins in the series, I've bought a few and once they arrive, I'll look to "flip" a full set of Peter Rabbit coins. The 2016 coin and the first in the series, is still fetching several hundred pounds and is highly sought after.

I don't know anything about the British coin market, but will it be easy to sell? How much do you think this L65 coin will be sold?

I love Peter Rabbit. I think it is the depiction of this sweet creature on books using pastel colors, the wonderful stories...
