I think hiding money under your mattress is one of the worst things you can do. it's the first place where people will look for it ( it happens in all TV series haha )
I agree, banks are not a safe place, you have to pay them, they play with (y)our money and it devaluates over time ( due to inflation ).
Also some nice words of Warren Buffett to finish your post.
Although I disagree with this:
do not invest in what is complicated or you do not know.
This is how I feel about crypto ( and I think many of us ). It's highly complicated but I invest in it, because I believe it's our future and I like it more than the old financial system.
I was joking a little bit here. As I start to understand it more now but it has taken me 3.5 years. Research is essential.
