Ich bin durch @dollarvigilante so Mitte 2017 auf Steemit gekommen.
Jeff Berwick aka Dollar Vigilante machte nämlich schon damals auf YouTube coole Krypto-Videos, die vielleicht noch nicht ganz so radikal waren wie heute ;)
In ein paar Videos hat er schließlich Steemit vorgestellt, eine zum damaligen Zeitpunkt für mich komplett neuartige und unbekannte Blockchain-basierte Social-Media-Plattform, die es ermöglicht Kryptos durch Bloggen zu verdienen.
Damals war es so, fast alles was Jeff vorgestellt hat, war ein Geheimtipp und ist später durch die Decke gegangen. Und so war es auch mit Steem.
Und da ich bereits damals Blogger war, dachte ich mir, ich probiere die Plattform einmal aus, ohne gleich etwas zu investieren (war im Nachhinein betrachtet ein Fehler) und habe mich dann auf Steemit angemeldet. Allerdings dauerte die Anmeldung über eine Woche (!) und ich befürchtete schon, es wird nichts mehr. Der Rest ist Geschichte und so bin ich auf Steem bzw. später Hive gelandet.

I was onboarded to Steemit by @dollarvigilante around the middle of 2017.
Jeff Berwick aka Dollar Vigilante was already making cool crypto videos on YouTube back then, which perhaps were not as radical as today ;)
In a couple of videos he finally introduced Steemit, a completely new and unknown blockchain-based social media platform for me at that time, which enabled bloggers to earn cryptos by blogging.
In the past, almost everything Jeff mentioned in his videos or newsletter was a secret tip and later went through the roof. And so it was with Steem.
And since I was already a blogger at the time, I thought I'd give the platform a try without investing anything right away (in hindsight, that was a mistake) and then signed up on Steemit. However, the registration took over a week (!) and I already feared, I will never get an account. The rest is history and so I landed on Steem and later Hive.

Hm, ich kann mich leider nicht mehr erinnern, wo ich es aufgeschnappt habe, möglicherweise in einem Youtube-Video.
Ah interessant, ich denke die Krypto-YouTuber sind für das Onboarding/Marketing nicht zu unterschätzen.

My husband told me about steemit, I remember for a very long time I could not understand how it works :)
Haha, because it's so complicated, steep learning curve 😂
A friends friend did, apparently the message wasn’t even for me, I only happened to be there at the right place right time....interestingly today, I’m the only one left here and I’ve stayed the longest...don’t you find that interesting?

durch @fastert im Winter 2016. Er hatte mir irgendeinen YouTuber vor die betrunkene Nase gehalten. Wir hatten Steem nur gehodlt. Ich glaube es war bei mir auch Berwick wo ich dann anfing im September 2017 aktiv zu bloggen, weils überall anders nur noch um ICOs ging. Also ja, Youtube war Schuld.
@avilsd onboarded me. He started out us a drug youtuber that talked about Bitcoin and how to buy stuff on the darknet :). He also recommended Steem, but I think he got actually later on the platform than me... maybe he was only telling me about Bitcoin and I found Steem myself... I am not sure.
@avilsd joined here with his head full of lambos, his hair long and him still focusing on talking about drugs. Not really content for Steem. He tried an image change to Kubera a Crypto Youtuber, but that was too little too late I think. He then got fat and depressed just like me :D
In the time BC, while ppl still walked around without masks and parties were allowed, there was a New Year.s party at friend flat. Some time before the dawn, I decided to rest a bit and fell on big empty bed in separate room. But some guy decided to do the same and invaded almost half of the bed. Tried to chase him away with being annoying, babbling, with million questions; no that this did not work, quite the opposite: he was gladly talking about his online engagements and blogging...at the end, I left the bed, the room, the flat and finally the country. Sill have no idea how I ended up on Hive; some people send crazy drunk msgs, make phone calls that otherwise would not... and some open Hive account. ;D <3

I just saw someone posting, that they got money for blog posts, and the Steemit site looked too good to be true. I thought in the beginning that it's some sort of scam, but I still registered and had to even wait days to get access to the account. Later realized, it's a real deal and started learning more about it. :D

Eine ehemalige Schulkollegin hat mich damals auf Steem aufmerksam gemacht. War im Sommer 2017. Im September habe ich dann meinen eigenen Blog hier gestartet. @melavie
@dollarvigilante is a lot of fun I remember when I spent night with my architect lover Michael and in the morning I was watching @dollarvigilante 's radical videos about universities as a scam. My lover didn't know what to to say back then 😂
Back to topic, it was you @vikisecrets who brought me via facebook post to steemit and it was one of your first giveaways that brought me to @nftshowroom! I'm totally aware of your influence on my work and I will dedicate one nft to you soon @vikisecrets in one of my upcoming collections. The collection will be called "Walls Of Fame"

oh that's so cool, feeling honored :) yeah, was one of the first users of @nftshowroom, immediately saw potential in the new platform, nfts and cryptoart.
I just sort of stumbled onto Steem back when I got into crypto. I looked at the website a few times and then I eventually joined a few weeks or months later. I wish I got involved earlier but its been a fun ride regardless.
