I would LOVE to see the US Government become a HODL'er of its seized crypto...
Quick news flash here, but it appears that the US government has managed to seize over $2 million in crypto related to accounts used by terror groups.
Bravo! I'm glad to hear that the funds were taken out of the hands of those who seek to do physical harm to many around the world. And yet, I feel like the greater tragedy of this will soon unfold... as it's unlikely the government will have the wisdom to actually hold onto that crypto and instead try to sell it for more useless fiat dollars - paper that the nation itself generates and authorizes to have universal value...
How tragic that will be, that the funds which could be used to store external value for future generations is likely to be disregarded for more of the same depreciating value likely to be sold to the highest bidder. Yet another swing-and-miss in the waiting.
