5 Reliable Ways to Earn Profitably from Hive-Engine Tokens

Having shared my testimonials severally how I've created my Hive based wealth from hive-engine tokens in the last 2 years, I decided to share the step by step details on how to also grow one's wealth in this layer of Hive in a profitable way. In this first series, I will be sharing just Five (5) of the several options we have. However, this post would only capture Two of the Five. I would share some more in the next few days. Content Creation

This is the first and the simplest way of creating wealth on hive's second layer. It requires no base capital safe the user's experience, willingness to share it, a gadget and internet access. We must understand that Hive is first of all a social blockchain and that the sharing of information is what builds the community here. All of the wealth I've generated from Hive as a whole started with content creation. In fact, then, my writing skills were so raw and unfit to earn money. While some content creators are withdrawing hundreds of USD weekly and monthly, others are struggling to earn $1. I'll share a few things I have learnt by experience would make one a successful content creator on Hive. They are as follows:

1. Be consistent. Some people find it difficult to maintain an even pace in their content creation. A curator that read your post the last time and was educated with it would want to come back to have another bite. When he fails to meet that expected content, he many never return. I tell this to all of my referrals to Hive and this is one secret that has kept me going. With or without upvotes, do your best to be consistent. Things would shape up with time.
2. Engage other Content creators. This is the easiest way for a new user to earn attention on the Hive blockchain. Engaging other content creators with comments and replies on their comment is a great way of getting the attention of many other users to your blog. When I was a new user, I'd set daily commenting targets - 20, 30, 50, 100 and even 150 and it worked out. This applied both for the main chain and the second layer.
3. Start with themes you're conversant with. Some new users would want to start up their contenting journey with technical writes. While that's good, but it's better to start in areas that are easy and gains a flow of communication from your part.
4. Know the right tags to use. Many new users have to understand the different between tag usage on Hive and what we have in web 2 social media. Tags here are used to classify related contents so that content consumers would find it easy to locate their choice content. Most of the times, those searching for contents are the curators because they need to vote on contents to be able to profit from their stakes. Note that tag abuse is liable for dis-incentivising of rewards. However, knowing the right tags to use would qualify a content creator to earn the right token. Eg. #leo would earn LEO, #sportstalk would earn SPORTS, #ctp would earn CTP, #proofofbrain would earn POB, #neoxian would earn NEOXAG, etc.
5. Find the niche you're celebrated. We're all different and would fit at different places. Always discover the niche that receives the best of you and celebrates that and stick on there. That requires extensive research and wide trial at first. #Contests are also great ways to discover communities and tribes that fit you.
6. Do well to promote your communities. Hive is still virgin and many people out there needs to hear about it. Several communities reward their members for socialmedia promotion of the communities outside of hive. Doing that with quality writes can draw special attention to your contents.

Of all the hive-engine tokens I've invested in, I prefer to earn them first. I've learnt that it's less risky to earn than buy crypto. Exceptions are only for tokens that can't be earned. Content Curation

Next to content creation is this golden way of earning Hive-engine tokens - curation. As a curator, it is expected that you earn or buy some liquid tokens and power them up, that is, stake them, so that when you like another user's post, it drops some fractions of the token staked to their posts. For me, this is the most lucrative way of earning Hive-engine tokens and some tokens have as high as 100% APY in curation. We have lots of the tokens giving 30% ROI in curation yearly.

To profit from curation at the second layer, one must do a lot of research on the token selected so as to be sure that it'll yield as expected. The features I look for in a hive-engine token for my curation are as follows:

• Usecases for the token
• Potential of onboarding many users to Hive
• Inflation of the token
• Sinks for burning tokens out of circulation
• Credibility of the community lead
• Development and creativity index of the community.

I see curation as a way of HODLing my tokens for the future when the prices would be cheaper while I take some profits form the curation earnings. Keeping the tokens in stake would help to prevent me from selling my tokens by emotions during price jerks since they can't be made liquid immediately.
