Magic the Gathering Old foils
To my surprise we have some Magic the Gathering players and collectors on Hive. Its awesome to connect over our awesome Blockchain to these people. This shows me again how superior hive is.
Todays Topic "Old Magic the Gathering Foils".
Thats some i missed buying in the past. I only have some of them, most commens. Thats where i want to build a position in the next time.
Up from Urzas to 7th edition. Some rares in good condition get really price already. But because foils are so rare at this time, the print run of these are lower that someone would expect.
What about to buy out some of them?
This is something i was thinking in the past multiple times. The risk i see is, nobody know who is holding how much. So in general if you try to buy out some old rare foil, it can happen someone dump on you hundreds of cards. To build a huge position into buyout takes months and can end in a huge loss.
So im not a fan of it.
About reprints from old Foils,
I think its really unlikely they reprint a complete old set with same art. So its in my opinion something cool to have.
Do you have old Foils? If yes which ones are your favorites?
btw,
Would be awesome if we can have at some point a Trading card marked on Hive with escrow service without fees ( or really low). This would be the next generation in TCG trading.

Edit: A post about which single Cards i target will follow up. In general i look for a good mix.

Do not miss the last post from @hivebuzz:
I find them a hard sell. I have box full of crap stuff which I bundle together into sets and then there's the better stuff which is ever harder to move. Some of the earlier ones (7th edition etc..) are showing silly high prices but there's few buyers out there.
True,
there are less buyers for these high single prices. I sold in the past the old foils in 10 to 20 card bundles for good prices on ebay ( sometimes higher as on exchange sites).
In my opinion most important is the buy in price to hold them comfortable.

btw what do you think about Chronicles and Renaissance? there are also some cards in these sets that have potential in my opinion.
