Not the Chosen Altcoin

I do not know if you have ever considered why there are certain altcoins that, despite their useless user-case and their little originality, one day after another surprises us with one pump after another in this crazy universe of the crypto world.
Surely all of you are perplexed by the great benefits that certain altcoins bring even though they are not too popular today.
Yesterday ETC, AKA ETHEREUM CLASSIC, came out of the mold again with a spectacular rise of 360% in just 4 days...

What does ETC bring to this ecosystem?

I have no idea, even though it is Ethereum's sister.

Is it possible that the conversion of ETH from PoW to PoS is benefiting the adoption of Ethereum Classic by pure miners?

It could be... although what I believe after many years of trading is that certain altcoins are only used for trading and that they are used by the trading bots themselves to move the market.
It is true that the price of all crypto is driven by speculation mostly, but some like ETC to a much greater extent. And on the same level I would put others like XRP as well or maybe DASH...

They are purely speculative cryptos whose only reason for being is their own trade.

The HIVE case is different, we have a use-case, a better community, but it has not been chosen to be used for speculative reasons, not even by the Koreans themselves as they have already STEEM to do so. We are simply too good and our product, although still in continuous development, has been working for a long time and we do not offer anything new although we refine more and more the algorithm and its working conditions.
We may get to pump for a moment as well, but clearly not with the intensity of the "chosen altcoins."
On the other hand, to anyone looking for security, speed of transaction, use -case and even passive and relaxed income, we are the best option, or, at least, the least complicated... it hurts that our visibility is still null.

We should realize that by not being the ones chosen for pure speculation, we should dedicate all our efforts to IMPROVE OUR VISIBILITY to the world.
I just hope that the next HARDFORK will be the last to be applied in a long time, as long as its implementation works as we expect and that, from which, our number one priority in the near future should be our PROMOTION as a product and project in progress.

Yeah, bringing more people to the ecosystem is something that we need in order to get that price up. I am seeing more and more posts about exactly that thing.

What is a blessing and what is a curse? And for whom?

Not being a speculative coin material is a blessing in my opinion.

Coins that have no intrinsic value whatsoever are excellent speculative material. Hive will never be one of those. That's why, if we want for it to gain popularity other approaches must be used. Real-world cases bringing users in for the usage of the apps as the first motive and value of $Hive as a bottom-line bonus.

How can we do that?

I do not know since the biggest issue in our case is marketing and retention. It doesn't help that people take a while to learn and get used to the system but LeoInfra has helped a bit. The only thing we are missing is a few Dapps to ensure we get more active users.

There are certainly many coins like this. I have been following for days a project called Safemoon that has been rising like foam and the truth is quite interesting, they have good things to offer for the third and fourth quarter of the year.

In the case of what you said about our Hive network and Leofinance, it is true, we still do not have much visibility, but this is due to lack of SEO and Marketing. New projects are coming for Leofinance and I think that will boost us, but without a doubt we need after that a good Marketing proposal to make the platform and its tools known faster.

Well said. It's disappointing to see HIVE performing so weak and ETC which basically does nothing to be pumping 360% in four days. Hope dies the last though...

Lo de ETC no tengo duda de que algo tienen que hacer con esas maquinas de minar los que estan en ETH minando y es la alternativa natural.

Hive... creo que el crecimiento en terminos de precio, esta menos influenciado por especuloudopatas y lo que refleja es mas sincero, estable, consistente y con el tiempo podremos ver que el crecimiento a todos los niveles va tener pocas pausas y retrocesos, ademas de txikiticos 😁
