Finally I had the time

This is something I wanted to do since the origin of the HIVE blockchain a few months ago and it is the change of all the important Private keys of my HIVE account...
Don't ask me why but I thought it would be a tough and risky work but actually it was not so difficult at all.

It took me only 20' to reestablish everything on the different computers, including as well the mobile apps and I feel better knowing that my HIVE account has no relation with my old STEEM account which, honestly, after knowing all the bad practices promoted by Justin as the new owner of the whole blockchain, I was not confident at all...

I would like to thank @roleerob for having shared his experiences doing the same and also written a very useful "Step-by-step" guidelines to help any hiver in this process.
You can read his post , upvote and reblog it here and also bookmark just in case for the future.

A man of your word @toofasteddie! Or should I say consistent with your account title? 😉 Seriously, nice to know my post was helpful to you.

Like you (and I suspect many others) ...

"I feel better knowing that my HIVE account has no relation with my old STEEM account which, honestly, after knowing all the bad practices promoted by Justin as the new owner of the whole blockchain, I was not confident at all..."

... I needed this "boost" to get me past my reluctance to even attempt it. As well as what is currently going on with the Blurt / Zapata blockchain launches. I really have no idea how private keys are stored, but I didn't want to find out the hard way that they are not nearly so secure, on the Steem blockchain, as we have been led to believe.

Onward and upward into a new week! 👋
