RE: What is BroFi?

I vote manually and decided against creating alt accounts to handle the other community tokens. It's somewhat of a consumer's nightmare attempting to micromanage and get the absolute most out of all this, manually.

I really hate the need to create alts to vote tribes. It's a horribly solution, to a horrible problem. As of right now though, it is unavoidable if you want to even remotely optimize your voting.

But the part about people getting paid all while potentially less traffic visits the sites seems kind of weird to me.

That's no different than any other form of delegation, you hopefully delegate your power to someone you believe will do a good job at voting in that community. After all voting is all about distribution. If the tokens get in the hands of those who deserves it, it doesn't matter who pushes the button. If they don't, well that is a problem and unfortunate one that is fairly common.

well that is a problem and unfortunate one that is fairly common.

I think I'm most disappointed when I see members grind just hard enough to gain traction, then as soon as the automated element kicks in, they begin slacking. Post after post, no comments, no traffic as in not even ten views on PeakD. Post value remains consistent though, regardless. They're not out mingling with anyone. You'd be lucky even getting a response after leaving a comment. I understand how on Youtube, a creator can't respond to everyone directly if there are thousands of comments, but they most definitely will acknowledge someone while streaming and receiving a superchat donation. That's a lot of money we have to hold on to just to be able to give someone a dollar, and they can't even give us the time of day?

I see instances where the post is actually just a link to content hosted elsewhere. So we're actually paying them to lead consumers away from our product, but the goal is to keep consumers glued here so their curiosity drifts towards everything else offered here. I've never considered this platform to be social media. Twitter is social media. That's where one is to place links directing traffic elsewhere (here to hive in general, preferably, LOL). A content creator here is a part owner and you'd think people would take better care of their stuff. So many similar platforms as this get treated like content dumping grounds. Literally no consumers to be seen anywhere, content as far as the eye can see. That's unsustainable and I think Hive is way better than those clones.

So I see these projects/opportunities to earn, like BRO-Fi. There's a demand, there's interest, and that's good. I fully respect and approve all opportunities and products offered on Hive since even if it's not for me personally, its success is still connected to improving my bottom line indirectly, in theory, if executed responsibly.

I have 60k CCC. It's worth peanuts and I think most gets dumped when earned. I'm not focused directly on that community when voting. The stake sits mostly idle. If I delegate it away, it's then being used to support content, and dumped when earned, effectively lowering the value of my stash. Others will jump in the pool with their unused stake, increasing the amount of CCC being distributed then dumped, effectively lowering the value of my stash at a faster rate. The possibility of CCC getting rekt exists in this scenario and I'm not sure I'd make enough BRO to cover the loss. This same scenario spins around in my head when I think of the other tribe tokens as well. It boils down to the voting and what the recipient does with their tokens so whoever's voting better be the best curator in the history of votes.

And the worst part about this whole thing is: I still have more to think about before I decide.

P.S. No this is not investment advice. It's merely one man's struggle with himself.

What CCC needs is new management.

I just used CCC as an example. I'm not sure what happened there. I was gone for awhile. If nobody is paying attention to it, it could easily get rekt.
