Hand-poured Silver, part 34

(Edited)

Anyone can create their own bullion at home, but the process is time-consuming and complicated, not to mention dangerous. Your best bet is to buy bullion that has been manufactured by a reputable mint. Trusted mints including the following:

  • A-Mark: An American company, established in 1965, with an international reputation for superior metal quality.
  • Geiger Edelmetalle: This European company is one of the oldest silver trading houses in Germany.
  • Highland Mint: This company makes a beautiful 10 oz silver bar with a horse imprint.
  • Johnson Matthey: This London-based company has won several awards for its innovative processes.
  • SilverTowne: This Indiana-based company aims for high quality and low customer costs.
  • Sunshine Mint: This Idaho-based company specializes in bullion with anti-fraud security images.

There are pourers who excel in what they do. They don't mass produce wth the intent of selling their work. They produce some of the best hand-poured silver around.

This is a Vault Bar. Reminiscent of the bars found in vaults. This was the first attempt f the pourer to produce this design.

Hello dear friend @ silversaver888 good afternoon
Undoubtedly, it is better to buy this type of llingot in official places than to do it at home, I even think that its value should improve noticeably.

You even got the PROTOTYPE bar, the first and beginning of a new The Bear's Vault Bar Series. I take it you have yet to get 50 oz size yet Sis?
With the current cross Border rules, my hope in acquiring a Bear Pour is disappearing into the tides of History.

Always, with Love (Hugs, Hibiscus and Hearts)

Hahaha... I couldn't afford it, and besides, he intends to make one for himself but I don't know if he has made one already.
I know what you mean, sis. Shipping cost can kill you! You and mikegpo.

SILVER TOWNE!
I got a big haul of ASE there, they had a big "sale" on random Eagles and I got 47
for a sweet deal. It included a 1986 and a 1987 MS69 slabbed ASE which I paid like
$1 over spot!!!!! It is ANACS instead of PCGS, but MS69 first and second year Eagles.

SILVER TOWNE ROCKS!!! I had avoided them since I saw sales tax was collected on their site,
but they said that is just for accessories, not bullion. State Law, PM's are not taxable! 💪😎👍

PMs are all taxable here!
It adds to my average cost.
I wish it was like before.
Uncle Sam gets his share!
Why should one pay taxes on money?

It's quite interesting how people evolve in their hobbies. When I got to know this guy (he is pretty young), he already made his silver like this. I think that he is just a natural. 🥰🌺🤙

Yes indeed it is always great to see how people can develop their own particular talents.
At a young stage I am sure that he will grow into a master caster, if he keeps it up.
Thank you for the token!

I do agree that it is never to late to start doing hand poured silver even though I would like to do it one day.

I looked it up and saw a video with a gas powered forge at home and you're right: it's pretty dangerous. You need to have the right tools and safety measure. But it was cool to watch.
Nice bear btw. :)

Hehehe... and the winter doesn't help either! During winters, it is more cumbersome than usual.
It's good to know that you looked it up, my friend. I am glad that it interested you! 🥰🌺🤙

Different type of silvers for different purpose! I agree for investment purpose bars from an accredited mint goes a long way and probably easy to sell when the time comes. Private pours are pretty cool collectible items though. As much as I would like to try it once since I already work with metal but I agree leaving it to the experts is probably better and safer. These are all great mints stated above.
