A Personal Strategy: Stack and Collect Precious Metals & Fiat

There are countless opinions as to what will occur during a market collapse. I think that any one's guess is as good as any because anything can happen when the market collapses.

In my mind, the logical and sensible preparation for a catastrophic collapse is having sufficient fiat on hand and a substantial stack of precious metals, silver, gold, and platinum. I personally believe that this is the best strategy.

Very early on in my stacking, I discovered the paradox of precious metal stacking: Buy to Save

I love to spend money, and it was easy to transition from buying stuff to buying silver and gold. The more I buy and spend on silver and gold, the more I save!

I placed myself on a silver and gold standard, and that is: I match the money I spend on silver & gold with fiat currency savings.

It is unbelievable that I could save on a tiny budget. I am so amazed because I had zero fiat currency savings before I started stacking.

This system really works for me! It requires discipline and patience and buying precious metals only on a cash basis.

Those who buy precious metals are often called “stackers” because they stack bullion in various forms such as coins, bars, and rounds.

Stackers usually try to pay the lowest premium over the spot metal value of the bullion they are purchasing.

The goal is to acquire as much precious metal as they can afford to, or as much as they feel they should own as part of their overall financial goals.

For sure, I AM A STACKER!

On the other hand, I am interested in the coins themselves, especially in their designs and the history behind them. In me is some degree of overlap between a bullion stacker and a coin collector. And that is especially because many bullion coins are now widely collected as numismatic items.

Coin collectors also care about how much precious metal they own. They often have several interests related to coins, medals, and similar objects.

They may also invest in precious metals bullion bars and coins in addition to working on various coin series.

I started out as a bullion buyer. As I acquired more silver and gold, I found that I have become more and more interested in the coins and hand-poured silver, often paying higher premiums per ounce.

And in this sense, I think that I have become a collector as well.

I am a precious metals stacker, I am also somewhat a collector, and I most definitely save in fiat.

You have amassed quite a stack bestie, more then 99% of the people in this world. Unlike you I don’t buy during these high prices, I am concentrating on numismatic coins only right now. Take care🤗🥰

It is prudent to buy only when one thinks the prices are reasonable, bestie. At this time when prices are high, I've been getting lower priced rounds. Besides, the bullion coins are always out of stack, and I don't know why that is the case. I can't get the Turtle or the Philharmonic, and it is towards the end of the year already. I don't know much about numismatic coins... I do know that they do not follow the spot price of silver.
Have a great weekend, bestie, and take care 🥰🌺🤙

Discipline most of all.
I look back and it's hard to believe what was actually accomplished in the previous 5 years of both Stacking and collecting. It's definitley NOT BORING!
I can barely lift my Booty Bank and afraid to drop it too. I bet you have almost dropped your Booty Bank too when it's full! Now I have three other little chests.
The Security of real tangible wealth in ounces!
Always, with Love ;)

Amazing, isn't it, sis!!! It is mind-blowing!!!
Hahaha, I know what you mean about barely being able to lift your Booty Bank 😆! I actually broke two nails at the same time lifting one of my wooded boxes. So now I move them to smaller plastic containers I got from hobby lobby for storing, and use the wooden boxes and different sizes cigar boxes to sort them while in the process of accumulation.
Absolutely true: there is "security of real tangible wealth in ounces!"
Enjoye your long weekend, my lovely sis @kerrislravenhill. Take care🥰🌺🤙 and xoxo 🤗💕💋!

Hello dear friend @ silversaver888 good afternoon
I love the way you see things, without a doubt it is the best way to spend when you are a compulsive shopper, so am I, now I am buying tools for my rustic furniture venture, but I want to follow your path, it is never too late to start
I appreciate all these tips and information
have a splendid night

It never too late to save, @jlufer. It takes a change of mindset....from buying frivolous stuff and fluff to buying something of real value. Tools are necessary implements of trade, and you got to have the tools you need. It is when you have more tools than what you need or use that it becomes superfluous. So instead of getting another one, just save the money for emergency future need. Like I used to buy a new pair of shoes often (I won't tell you how often, hehehe, let us just say that it was very frequent!) The thing is I only have two feet, and I have shoes that I still have not worn since I got them. There is no "need" for me to buy coffee every day from Starbucks. I can make good coffee, and drink it from a pretty thermos. In fact the first silver coins I bought were from the money I save from NOT buying coffee.
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend @jlufer, and take care 🥰🌺🤙

You are admirable dear friend @ silversaver888, you are very right in what you say, how good that your first savings were from not consuming coffee. I really appreciate the comment, it motivates me a lot, as I said, I intend to start shopping
I take this opportunity to wish you a happy start to the week

It's interesting to see different opinions although many stackers would have similar believes in the economy, which is to prepare for a market collapse.
I have some spare cash for just in case but i don't save any in fiat. I have silver because i think it is the most undervalued metal, and then i have gold because gold is more portable than silver, and i own cryptos because precious metals were confiscated a few times in history

It looks to me that you are in good shape my friend. And your reasons for stacking PMs and cryptos all make very good sense! You are so prepared. What an inspiration!
Have a terrific evening, and take care @djohan 🥰🌺🤙
