History behind the Argentine Football Association

The Argentine Football Association was founded on 21st February 1893 by Alexander Watson Hutton as he was nicknamed the father of Argentine Football, also they are the oldest in the continent of South America and one of the oldest to be formed outside the continent of Europe as well and also they have been affiliated by FIFA on 1st July 1912 and the CONMEBOL 4 years later.

During their time of birth, they had a total of 53 Presidents with Claudio Tapia as he is the current president of AFA at this current time.

HISTORY BEHIND THE NATIONAL TEAM

The Argentinan Football Team had started their 1st ever football match against Uruguay by winning 6-0 in Montevideo on 20 July 1902, and not forgetting their heaviest win 12-0 against Ecuador 22nd January 1942.

During the Argetinine's time in Football, they have acclaimed many awards including picking up the FIFA World Cup Trophies both in 1978 & 1986.

As we are all aware that Argentina had a lot of good and incredible players during their history including the likes of Daniel Passarella & Diego Maradona
