Five Ounce Friday.....
Hello everyone....
Yes, it is Friday. Which means another installment of #fiveouncefriday. Today I am going to share with you an ultra cool piece from the Scottsdale Mint.
This is not a bar or a stacker round as you might have thought or guessed. It’s a coin, but not just a normal coin either.
This coin is from an Egyptian series from the country of Chad. It is legal tender, but the metal just like the United States is worth more then the face value of the coin.
This is a 2016 King Tut five ounce coin. I’m not 100% sure, but I believe the mintage on these was only 5,000 pieces.
Aside from the coin being five ounces which is not typical by any means. It comes antiqued and from the description from Scottsdale Mint it has a hammered chiseled edge look.
It’s a beauty.....
If you don’t like this piece I’d be shocked.....

According to the National Enquirer King Tut may be an alien.
Why do I remember that? I don't know. But he looks cool on the round.
