Awesome Hand Poured Silver Art...

(Edited)

Morning everyone....

There are many people who pour silver out there. I personally own many pieces of hand poured silver art.

While it takes skill to hand pour silver into art. There are a select few that are at a totally different level when it comes to hand poured silver art.

What I mean by this is, most of the people that pour silver, pour into graphite molds. While there is an art to making those pieces, pouring silver into a sand casted mold is a totally different level of talent.

Taking a object, placing it into a frame and layering delft clay down. Making the impression, then covering it with more clay, packing it extremely tight to get all the details of the piece. Pulling apart the mold, and being extremely careful when removing the object from the clay to not damage the impression. Making vents and a pouring spout in the clay, then placing the frame back together. Clamping it together so there is not gap for flashing to occur. Calculating how much silver you need to melt in order for the piece to be complete.

Depending on how intricate the item you are pouring is, this process can take up to an hour to get perfect.

This is next level talent...

All of the well know hand poured companies do not do any sand casting at all. It’s a graphite molds. Companies like Yeager, Vulture Peaks, Monarch Precious Metals. One MK Barzs just pours blobs of silver and uses a hydraulic press to make the impression.

The reason I went through all this explanation is because this hand poured silver art is of extremely high quality. There are not many people who can accomplish this absolute perfection.

The piece I am about to share with you today comes from one of the best at it. The piece was hand poured by “The Bear”. He is a very special silver pourer who is a master at delft clay pieces. He was a big part of the original silver pourers of YouTube.

He no longer posts on YouTube, but from what I was told can be found on Instagram. He also has done some lost wax pieces as well. Which are 100% harder than clay pours.

The piece I am sharing today is a scary clown pour from him. It weighs in at 7.3 ounces and just look at the detail on this piece
