Han pasado tres años desde la última vez que vi a Bitcoin llegar a la barrera de los 20,000 dólares y en estos ultimos dias habia estado muy cerca de romper dicha barrera hasta que por fin hoy lo logró, no solo la rompió sino que la ha atravesado hasta llegar a los $22,066 dólares (para el momento en que empecé a escribir este post).

En el 2017 me encontraba trabajando en la ciudad de México para los desarrolladores de la criptomoneda Creary en otro proyecto de nombre Lescovex y fue cuando me tocó observar el evento de Bitcoin superando su ATH de ese entonces. Para esos momentos las criptomonedas eran impulsadas por la fiebre de las ICO’s y que los medios de comunicación hablaban del tema en todo momento posible, sin embargo todo eso genero especulación así que el aumento del 2017 fue prácticamente alimentado por el FOMO (“El miedo a perderse algo”, “fear of missing out” por sus siglas en ingles), no había una solidez justificada para que el precio se mantuviera así por mucho tiempo.

Pero no son solo las personas comunes quienes han visto a las criptomonedas como una forma de respaldar su economía ante esta crisis, sino que también las miradas de los gobiernos, bancos centrales y corporaciones como Paypal y Facebook se encuentran sobre Bitcoin y más criptomonedas. Por más que uno esté en contra de las decisiones que toman los gobiernos y bancos, no se puede negar que el que se empiecen a unirse al criptomundo le da fuerza a Bitcoin y demás altcoins.

But it is not only the common people who have seen crypto currencies as a way to support their economy in the face of this crisis, but also the eyes of governments, central banks and corporations like Paypal and Facebook are on Bitcoin and more crypto currencies. As much as one may be against the decisions made by governments and banks, it can't be denied that the fact that they're starting to join the crypt world gives Bitcoin and other altcoins strength.

Bitcoin siempre será una criptomoneda descentralizada por lo cual los gobiernos no pueden tomar control de el, pero no por ello dejaran de interesarse en la tecnología que lo conlleva por lo que algunos países han empezado a crear sus propias monedas digitales como lo están haciendo Rusia y China, pero también empresas como Facebook con su stablecoin Libra (ahora llamada Diem) y Steve Wozniak co-fundador de Apple que también lanzó su criptomoneda de nombre WOZX la cual ha resultado ser todo un éxito.

Bitcoin will always be a decentralized crypto currency so governments can't take control of it, but they won't stop being interested in the technology that goes with it so some countries have started to create their own digital currencies as Russia and China are doing, but also companies like Facebook with its stablecoin Libra (now called Diem) and Steve Wozniak co-founder of Apple who also launched his crypto currency named WOZX which has turned out to be a success.

El interes que tiene todo el mundo por las criptomonedas hace que tanto Bitcoin y sus semenjantes tengan solidez y por ende es probable que no tenga un descalabro en su valor como lo tuvo en el 2017, pero todavia hay muchos retos que Bitcoin tiene que vencer y su tecnología está en constante evolución (en lo personal quiero una mejorar de Lighting Network). ¿Tu que piensas que le depara a Bitcoin el proximo año?

Everyone's interest in cryptomonies makes Bitcoin and its sperm solid, so it probably won't have a breakdown in value like it did in 2017, but there are still many challenges Bitcoin has to overcome and its technology is constantly evolving (personally I want a Lighting Network upgrade).
