DIY Projects that can save you a lot of money - penny wise ?

in LeoFinancelast month

There are a lot of DIY projects that can save you a lot of money over time.
The covid era has seen a lot of people losing jobs and now many cannot afford the luxuries that they were once used to paying without a second thought.

That is why it is time to think of DIY projects that can make life more comfortable and save money too.

A few ideas

1. Setting up your own 'free dish tv'

Did you know that there are a lot of free to air satellite dish tv channels that can be viewed without paying a penny? All you need is to set up a dish antenna by yourself or with a little help from a local technician on the roof of your house and get to watch TV without having to pay an exorbitant sum of money every month.

2. Starting your own business

If you have the idea, aim, dedication, foolproof plan, and willpower, you can start your own business and however small it may be, it can still give you ample scope to earn your own money and be your own boss too. It is not too difficult to start a small scale production unit or a neighborhood grocery or hardware store or it could even be a food catering service or a florist. If you have confidence, nothing can stop you from achieving your dream. Just be sure that you have the vision for it. All the rest will fall in place.

3. Begins at home

The first place to start is your own home/house/space. The faster you clean up your place and start to reuse, recycle, and refurbish, the better it is for saving money. For example, you could sort out stuff you do not need and set up a garage sale to get rid of it and also save money in the process which could be put to better use. Those that you do need can be reused. This process can also clear up the clutter in your space.
many a time, we have got things when searching for another missing item. Is it not better to save money rather than hoarding items that may not look so useful later on?

Making your own stuff does require some guidance but then there are a lot of videos online that can help you to do it right.

Do comment if you have done any DIY project like making your own furniture and stuff like that? Did you know there is a DIY community on Hive?
