If we only use some of the sweet military budget and diverted it to social programs. No need for new taxes and other countries would probably hate us less

That's only true if you ignore the extreme value of imperialism and our foreign policy of world policing. It also assumes that we won't be attacked after we dearm ourselves.

We overspend in our military so even massive budget cut won't really affect what military strength. I not saying to dearm ourselves.

Okay so you cut military spending. Now a bunch of jobs get lost. How do you make up for that? There isn't a magic button we can push to fix these issues. If you take money away from one area there are dozens of unintended consequences.

Assuming military cuts for such that are pretty much overspending, job loss will be minimal for the army.

Though you can bring up the point of loss of jobs for lobbying and Washington defense engineers and and yes it most likely it would reduce jobs for those definitely. Assuming the for profit company want to fire workers to maintain profit.
And yes those jobs will be lost but that is a risk worth making.
Any gov plan will affect someone even more spending money does.
It should be worth mentioning that job loss will be minimal compared to the benefits it bring long term

There is no magic button anywhere. There are only more positive plans. I never said no one will be hurt but compared to right now this will hurt less people and help people more.
This is one of the more positive likely actions but this is also wishful thinking as the gov never really wants to do anything that helps the country long term. Won't get them elected. Such a pity

Okay so you cut military spending and now the price of gas skyrockets because a dozen crude oil producing nations aren't our bitch anymore. The mob comes to your house demanding for blood. How dare you take away their cheap gas. What do you do?

Lol we can cut the military and the US might won't be lost.
But if we assume this scenario the % cut will more smaller but nonetheless massive in dollar amount.
Assuming though a military cut mentions affect the image of might we can do what they did to other departments and just shift fund around for more domestic based projects like "war on bad roads".
Us dollar is also losing it status as the petro dollar so the effects on the US dollar will be less drastic.

On the topic of gas price, if we do a massive miltiiary budget that affect us might then we could counteract the effects.
US is one of the larger producer of oils still but yes gas will rise. It the cost of the long term that would benefit the country. we could use the money saved for more renewable projects such as solar tax credits and/or bring back nuclear.
By shifting energy demand from oil source to more renewable it would reduce the price of gas increase minimally and effect of the mob would be non-existent.
Renewable energy is already one of the most cost effective sources of energy now.

Of course, you can say that never going to happen but so would the military costs. If we can get a military cut actually passed we can pass almost anything 🤣 this is all wishful thinking especially the military cut 🤣

leave the military alone.

we could have UBI if we stopped corporate welfare.

The military is overfunded by alot. I'm not saying there should be no military but even the military says they have too much funds. And I said military for the fact is one of the largest % of our budget.
Corporate welfare is another area to reduce expenses but it isn't close to what we could do to the military. (Wellfare is another large % but a lot of is not to companies. It more so welfare to poor people. Though the debate on whether those welfare are great is debatable)
Ideally we could do both and than just use all the money we cut from military and corporate to then put UBI. Now only would inflation not be higher and Gov not be in debt to entities. It be cheaper to run too.
