My Coin Collection: Good Old Drachmas - 2 Drachmai - Paul I

Moving on to my collection of drachma coins, in the following posts we'll be seeing 2 drachma coins. The first one has the crowned arms (shield with cross) with the defenders of the Crown and the portrait of mature King Paul A, who reigned over the years 1947-1964.

The coin

It is a standard circulation coin from the Third Modern Drachma coin period that circulated from 1954 to 1965. It is made of nickel copper-nickel, weighs 5.78 gr, has a diameter of 23.89 mm and a thickness of 1.62 mm.
