My Coin Collection: Good Old Drachmas - 1 Drachma Regime of the Colonels

Another 1 drachma coin from the Regime of the Colonels period. This has the symbol of goddess Athena, the owl, and the picture of the Phoenix rising from its flames, symbol of the Regime.

The coin

It is a standard circulation coin from the Third Modern Drachma coin period that circulated in the year of 1973. It is made of nickel brass, weighs 3.96 gr, has a diameter of 21 mm and a thickness of 1.60 mm.
