Introducing The 1st Trillion Dollar Man...Elon "Tony Stark" Musk

Tony Stark aka Elon Musk is a serial entrepreneur, who likes to push technology beyond its limits. Born in South Africa in 1971 to an American mother and South African father, he made his first $500 at the age of 12, selling a computer game he had coded to the magazine PC and Office Technology.

Fast forward 30 years and in 2004, Elon Musk invested in Tesla Motors and he took over as chief executive in 2008. Tesla has many doubters on Wall Street who would love to see the company fail. Years ago, $10 billion or about 30 million shares of Tesla’s stock was short (25% of float), making it not only one of the most shorted stocks in the U.S. market but the most shorted stock in U.S. Market history. Both SpaceX and Tesla both almost went bankrupt in 2008. Elon had $40 MM left to his name and split the $40 MM to continue funding SpaceX and Tesla.

This past Summer Tesla was worth more than Ford, GM and Chrysler combined, Tesla’s valuation was the 10th largest US stock by market value and Elon Musk became the seventh-richest person in the world, surpassing Warren Buffett at the time.

Then Tesla announced a 5 for 1 stock split. Tesla said in the announcement that each shareholder of record at the close of business on Aug. 21 would receive four additional shares for every share held on the record date. That August day, Elon Musk's net worth was $115 billion, making him the third-richest person in the world and also the world's fifth centibillionaire.

Elon doesn’t own any Amazon or Apple or any other FANG stock. Elon doesn’t even own any bitcoin. The vast majority of Elon musk's net worth is tied to the price of Tesla's stock. Elon’s net worth continues to move higher. He's now worth over 130 billion dollars and is the second richest person in the world, passing Bill Gates on the richest billionaires list.

On December 21st, Tesla will be part of the S&P 500. Tesla now has a market cap above $600 billion. Tesla’s stock is up close to 800% in the last 12 months and up nearly 50% since Nov16th, when the S&P 500 said it might add Tesla to the index.

Billionaire investor Ron Baron of Baron Capital owns 1.63 million shares of Tesla thinks Tesla’s stock appreciation is just beginning. Tesla is also involved in battery production, solar panels and aeronautics these separate businesses could grow rapidly in coming years and eventually be more valuable than the car manufacturing business.

Now Elon is gunning for Jeff Bezos, but it’s just a matter of time before he catches Jeff. Elon’s worth is more than Starbucks and Wells Fargo. And when it comes to countries, Elon’s worth is more than Morocco, Urkaine and too many other countries to list.

So whatever happened to that last $40 MM Elon put into SpaceX. Well, when you include that Elon spent $100 million dollars when he founded SpaceX in 2002, his stake in SpaceX is now worth about $15 billion.

Ron Baron through his Baron Asset fund purchased $26 million worth of SpaceX stock during the company’s $2.1 billion fundraise earlier this year. This is in addition to his first purchase of shares in SpaceX in 2017. But Ron thinks SpaceX has a chance to be just as large as Tesla.

And we haven’t even talked about his Boring tunnel making company or his neuro tech company Neural Link with the mission to develop an implantable brain-machine interface. Need I say anymore, I introduce to you Elon “Tony Stark” Musk, the inevitable 1st Trillion Dollar Man.

This post is my personal opinion. I’m not a financial advisor, this isn't financial advise. Do your own research before making investment decisions.

This man is admirable, I think that his constant work has led him to the place where he is today, his parents must also count since we always follow their example.

I have been hearing about Elon musk on Twitter but never heard about his story and how he became a billionaire, Now I do.
I guess he's got the potential to be the first man to own a trillion dollar when you look at his growth over the years and vision he has for tech.
