How deep you want to get into Hive projects? HE-index Token
When do you know you are deeply involved with Hive blogging platform? The answer could be different from different people. For me, it is when I start to explore a coin that indexes top 10 Hive Engine Tokens.
I recently purchased 100 INDEX tokens. I don’t have all the details on the coin yet but I really liked the concept. The high level description of what the team is planning to do lured me to invest around 100 Hive.
I have been involved in the stock market and indexing popular companies is a common practice. When I realized the CTP team is indexing best performing 10 HE tokens then I decided to join the ride for fun.

There are two benefits I see on this project.
1. Passive Income
I don’t have to worry too much about all the coins that are performing well in the HE market as this coin will manually index the top performing coins. The team is also promising to share 80% of the rewards (mining and curation) to token holders. I have not received anything so far other than the tiny amount of SIM. So, I cannot say much about that until we start to receive the full rewards.
2. Supporting Hive
The project is trying to help the blockchain grow by providing users/investors the investment opportunity. The more the projects are based on Hive blockchain the more the engagement is and will have a multiplying effect in retaining users. So, by supporting this initiative, I think I am helping the platform and minting rewards as well.
Leofinance has demonstrated how second layer tokens and projects can drive the momentum. I know that @ctp team is active and @jongolson is doing amazingly well with recent updates. And, there are other active Hive/Leo members supporting this project.
By the way, the index token made me aware of two of the tokens I have been avoiding so far - BLURT and DEC. If they are among the top performing assets in the HE market then I should definitely get into them. See, how you are being pulled into projects when on Hive. You are being pulled in every time you try to get out :P

Yes, after listening to @jongolson thursday night live you can really see that CTP are heading in to 2021 with full speed.
I also like the aspect that you can support several tribes inside one coin passive. There are so much stuff going on right now so it's hard to keep track, positive for the entire Hive chain!

Yeah, agree. The best thing about this index token is it's structure. Any tokens performing well will be included and that's what it should be. We will be supporting tribes through HE Index token.

A token backed by the top 10 tokens seems like a smart purchase.
It is like a hedgefund of layer 2 tokens
Even with small rewards, the value of the token should only go up.
And over time be a wise investment
I plan to purchase more shortly.
I am also planning to purchase more once I know how rewards will work. Hope the price will not go bunkers in a week :P

Yup we've been fine tuning the curation trails for the tokens inside of INDEX to find the perfect fit. Rewards from curation should start showing up next week after the 7 days have passed and then will continue to build from there :)
Just getting started and looking forward to seeing this project grow by leaps and bounds in the next few months.

totally agree with you, i had purchased as soon as i heard about the project 70 index tokens! Today i bought a couple more and i have 106 now! i am so hyped about this!

INDEX look a good project but remember it is index of HE and it's performance dependent on HE tokens.

Yes, I agree. The Index token performance will depend upon HE tokens. But, I think it will not matter much as, I hope, we will receive rewards in the staked tokens. That said, let's hope HE will perform better in the coming days.
