Tribe Tokens: Buy / Sell / Trade???
It's been a wild ride the last few months in the crypo universe. To be honest its always been a wild ride in cryptoland. From our crypto holdings USD value hitting all time highs to the eventual correction. Its an emotional rollercoaster that most us latch onto.
We think we dispise that gut renching feeling of uncertainty but yet we continue to puchase/hold and trade chasing that "high" that only crypto can give. Hive-Engine Tokens are no exception. Some are still doing exceptionally well, others have lost over half their value in the last week or two. Below we will go over some of those tokens as I decide what token to put a buy order in for.
Leo
I have been holding every LEO I have earned via blogging. I'm at around 1500 LEO, not allot but its something. If I were to go back one week ago those 1500 LEO would be worth somewhere in the range of $1000 USD. Today they are worth $380* USD, that is a drastic decrease.
What does this mean for LEO, is it going to be just another TRIBE token to flounder like many of the others / Should we sell before the value sinks even further? My opinion, Hell No, I'm holding. Leofinance has always stood out as one of the better Tribe sites. If any of the Tribe tokens are going to stand the test of time and hold future value, I'm willing to bet LEO will be one of the TRIBES leading the way in doing so.
Battle
I had high hopes for the BATTLE token. It was the first Tribe created for general gaming content and had all sorts of potential. Today the BATTLE token is at an all time low. The potential is still there for the BATTLE token to be a massive success within the tribe communities. Having a tribe site that gives out crypto for content isn't enough to sustain value for the Tribes token. Tokens need a use case in which its users routinely use. Finding one is much more easier said than done.
On the plus side the BATTLE tokens value is so low that gambling on it won't cost that much while the potentail returns could be high. For me BATTLE is a buy at the moment. Personally I already hold a whales share of BATTLE so I don't need to purchase more anytime soon. ALthough if prices keep going downward I'll soon put a buy order in.
POB
ProofOfBrain (POB) is one of the tokens I been keeping a close eye on over the past 30 days and it looked like its USD value was headed in the same direction as most other tokens, Downward. Looking at todays USD value of POB it looks like POB has overcome its downward trend and is back on track to being one of the more valuable Tribe tokens.
Its downward trend didn't last long. Its recent low reached somewhere around 1.2/1 when traded with the HIVE token. Today (5/29/21) I seen highs of around 2/1 when traded with the HIVE TOKEN. POB is a token I intend on keeping an eye on but for the time being I'll continue to use it for trading. I hope to eventually end up with a dolphins share of the POB token that I intend on staking.
SPT
SPT is short for Splintertalk, a tribe site that was created for the most popular game in the HIVE ecosystem. That game is called Splinterlands, the game itself has daily transactions in the thousands but the SPT token itself doesn't hold much value. This is mainly due to its lack of use case. Recently the Splinterlands team shared a big announcement with the Splinterlands community about a new governance token in which will get airdropped.
SPT token holders will be included in this airdrop. This is the only use case SPT has been given to date. The tokens USD value has since increased although its still very cheap to attain. If the SPT token ever gets an ongoing use case in the game of Splinterlands I predict its value to explode. For that reason SPT is the token I will be creating a buy order for. I'll start with a 20,000 SPT order and see if that fills, if it does I'll reassess and likely put up another buy order.

I don't want to get into any more tribe tokens, because these tokens have such scary risks of becoming WOrthless.

IMO Those are three solid choices. I'd recommend using the proofofbrain tag. Its healthy 24 hour trade volume is enough to peak my interest. Thanks for the positive comment. I hope to create more topics like this while dialing back on the contest/giveaway topics.

BEER.I agree with you hive token ATM are very high risk. I have seen some of my holdings like weedcash go down from 0.2-0.3 per token to 0.01 - 0.05
It seems as that is what happens to most Tribe tokens. They start strong but then taper off.
It'll be interesting to see if any can break that mold. I have high hopes for LEO and possibly POB. SPT is another that has a chance at success but its dependent on the Splinterlands game being a continued success.
Spt I can see making moves if they offer more in game with spt or other games.
POB I am iffy on its got ideas but ATM seems to be riding the hype but I think if they push a new front end and get listed on another exchange.
Leo is doing fantastic and I see huge things from them over the years.

I think keeping them is a wise move.
The airdrop + SPT will likely be worth more than todays SPT value.
