HPUD: Welcome To Dolphinhood
Its That Time Of Month: HPUD
H= Hive
P= Power
U= Up
D= Day
HPUD is a day in which those who are invested/interact on the Hive Network choose to power up HIVE Tokens to Hive Power. HPUD day is on the first of every month. Today being 9/01/2021 qualifies as a Hive Power Up Day (HPUD). This is done to show support to the network we all come to enjoy interacting on. Taking part in HPUD is up to each individual user of the HIVE Network. Of course any day is a good day to power some HIVE to HIVE Power and if you feel as if you want to power up on a day that isn't a HPUD day then go right ahead and do that.

What Is A HIVE-Dolphin?
A Dolphin on the Hive Network is consider an account that has 5000+ of Hive Power. Today I finally reach that benchmark. Leading up to Dolphin status we have Minnow status which means a user has 500+ Hive Power. Anything under 500 HivePower is considered a Red Fish.
Now What?
I will keep hoarding and stacking the awesome token that is Hive. My main goal is to reach 10,000+ Hive Power but my current intermediate goal is to get to 7,500. I'd be estatic if I could somehow manage that before the end of the year but with Splinterlands releasing their newest edition of monsters called Chaos Legion its likely most my disposible earnings that isn't HIVE will be going towards that. What's that you haven't heard of Splinterlands.
Splinterlands is a digital card game created by @aggroed and @yabapmatt. Game Play that give rewards which have monetary value are being played daily. You can start playing or investing in Splinterlands today by clicking here. Currently there's a year long airdrop taking place for the newly minted governance token known as SPS. Not to be a downer but Dolphinhood is a little higher than 5k HP. I just reached 5k today myself.
Official Dolphin is around 5,357 HP nowadays, but congrats either way!
Interesting, I never knew that.
In either case, 5,000 is imprented in my mind as dolphin status.

I read about the odd numbers a few times now, but I never saw a spreadsheet or a chart for all the ranks with the exact numbers. Can you provide such a thing? I can't find anything on Hive or the analytics site either.
https://hivebuzz.me/ranking over here you have to go down the ranks and check out how much HP the last dolphin has to figure out how much is needed to achieve that rank.
I don't know the motive for this but I suspect that dolphin status I tied to the amount of Vesting power not Hive power...

Absolutely, you learn a lot from watching them.
Levels are indeed VESTS-based.

Hivelandians become dolphins at 10,000,000 Vests, not 5,000 HP. You can check the number of Vests you have at https://hiveblocks.com/ or https://hivebuzz.me/
I'm aware, I took for granted that 10,000,000 Vests was close to the 5,000 HP number. A previous poster said around 5,357 HP is needed. 5,000 HP for dolphinhood is imprented in my mind, thanks for the comment.
I thought it was 5000 HP too. Didn't know it was 10M vests.

One note, I've always thought of the super small accounts as Plankton, not Red Fish.
I believe there was multiple different lingos around at one point.
If memory serves correctly, Plankton/Red Fish are one in the same.

botteam will let you know when you become a dolphin. I have just hit 7k HP and still a minnow! Good luck and enjoy Splinterlands.I don't think hivebuzz counts delegated HIVE when calculating status. In either case it looks like I jumped the gun in announcing I was a dolphin :)

5000 for dolphin status is imprented in my mind and is allot easier to referance then 5,XXX.
