Tips On Consistent Blogging On Hive

It saddens me to see lots of newbies fall off and give up on Hive because their expectations were just too much. They get too excited that they are going to make lots of money on Hive, come here with big hopes, make their introduction post, probably make $10 - $20 from the post and feel all their post will be giving them that amount every day. They make post for a week or two, you see the enthusiasm in their eyes, after two weeks, their interest on Hive starts reducing. This is because they are not seeing much engagement compared to their first post(introduction post). They slowly start to give up.

In my little experience blogging on Hive, Leofinance and proof of brain I have learnt so much and I will be sharing what I have learnt that keeps me motivated on Hive.

Before joining Hive, I hated reading, funny thing is when I was in school most of my friends thought I loved reading, but I was only reading because failure was never an option for me. So I saw reading as a means of survival. But when I joined Hive, that orientation changed, I read everyday right now. Thank God for technology and internet, you don’t have to go to the library and flip through pages to get the specific information you wanted. You can just Google it. Reading has helped a lot in having ideas based on content creation. Hive is a good platform for reading, I come online and see lots of contents to read, after reading them, you get overwhelmed with information because the author just said what has been on your mind for a long time but you didn’t have the words to express them.

Learning from people you admire can also help and motivate you to create content on Hive. There are lots of authors on Hive I admire, am not going to tag them because I don’t want to spam, but I really do appreciate them. Coming on this platform and see their content motivates and inspires me. Although when I started blogging on Hive, I zeroed my mindset on making a lot of money. I came in with a mindset to learn about cryptocurrency and add to my previous knowledge. So it was easier for me to blog non-stop everyday. I was inquisitive, so I did a lot of research. While learning and doing my research, I decided to be sharing my knowledge on Hive, Leofinance and proofofbrain. Because it was really fun, I never had a journal or personal diary when I was a teenager, so I saw this platform as my digital journal. The rewards that came afterwards was a huge bonus for me.

Learn to plan your next day the night before. This particular one has helped me so many times. Before blogging about anything, I must have researched and gotten what I was going to blog the next day the night before. This saves me the time of searching for contents to post and helps me with the writer’s block problem. Any day I fail to do that, that day will end up being the most stressful day for that week. When you make use of your notepad frequently, ideas become easy to come by.

Well all these won’t be achievable if you don’t have a goal. Goal is very important because it gives you the reason to wake up and grind. I had a goal of getting to 1k POB power, 1k HivePower and 1k Leo Power before my six the month on Hive. I have reached my goal for pob, am close to achieving that for Leo power and Hive power. Everyday I wake up and look at my pob power, I smile, but when I look at my leo power and Hive Power, I feel like I haven’t reached that stage to be complacent. It motivates me to create more content, trade more so I can stake more and be happy with my stakes. This is my 4th month on Hive, this means that I have a month plus few weeks to achieve those goals. My Hive power is over 800HP and my leo power is over 700 Leo power. I hope I achieve these goals before the 6th month.

Now we have these goals, our goals will be complete wishful thinking if we don’t take actions. Taking action is the most important activity in achieving your goal. Some days you might feel lazy and don’t feel like posting. Except you were sick, or you have been grinding for the whole week, this is the only time you are allowed to rest and catch a break because you are human and not a robot. Aside that, the moment you stop taking actions, you will get so comfortable and end up not achieving anything. This part is really scary, always try your best to take actions when it’s really scary for you to take actions.

Sometimes you might not get the engagements you were hoping to get, and this can be very discouraging. The best thing to do is have compassion on yourself, pat yourself on the back and remind yourself that you are doing great. It’s normal to have doubts, post engagements remind us that we are seen and appreciated, but when you don’t get that some days, always try to remind yourself what your goal is and try to refocus your mind on the prize. It’s good to have a day off, take stroll and catch some fresh air. Then come back better.

Finally, have an attitude of gratitude. The moment you start comparing your progress to that of other Hive authors, that’s the day you start losing focus. You can only admire and try to be as good as them but don’t compare your content with them and assume they deserved lesser because their post was not as good as yours. You are slowly deviating from the attitude of gratitude. Be grateful for your achievement and try to achieve more. Be proud of your little progress and keep grinding.

This one speaks, a lot of times we don't have much engagements in our blogpost. Thus makes you wonder on why is it happening. But going back, we need to understand that if we also engage to other people they will reciprocate on what we did to them.

Finally, have an attitude of gratitude. The moment you start comparing your progress to that of other Hive authors, that’s the day you start losing focus.

Exactly! Most of the time newbies would tend to rant and diss the work of other folks unto why they are getting much upvotes compared to them where they created a "quality content".

That’s the reason lots of people give up on Hive. They are not willing to be patient and understand the platform and community.

Just want to let you know that you are one of the authors that I admire on Hive. I always ask myself how you can post everyday. So it's good to know now :) One more thing I love about your content is you always explain things based on your experience and in a way that is super easy to understand. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work.

You talked about Leo Power and POB and Hive. What are the differences? How do you acquire said powers and do they have apps? (The Leo and POB)

Leofinance and proof of brain are tribes built on the hive blockchain. Leofinance is specifically for technology and finance contents while proof of brain is generally anything. To access Leofinance front end you go to leofinance.io while that for proof of brain you got to proofofbrain.io , if you notice my hashtags you will see proof of brain and Leofinance hashtags, that gives you the opportunity to earn from them and also displays your content on their front end. When you earn leo and proofbrain you can now stake to get the power

👍🏻 Very good post! Shifts the focus back toward creating good valuable content and get rewarded instead of Just wanting to earn many Hive/HP.
🙋🏼‍♂️ I‘m pretty new myself and like the whole „Hive-Idea“ with Value for Value. There‘s a great Community here and many inspiring smart people.

Sometimes you might not get the engagements you were hoping to get, and this can be very discouraging.

This is a key point for me. There used to be times when I have great expectation for a post and it doesn't get as much engagement as I thought it would. But I've learnt to just be consistent and go with the flow. Some posts will get engagements while some won't.

Finally, have an attitude of gratitude. The moment you start comparing your progress to that of other Hive authors, that’s the day you start losing focus.

This has happened to me a couple of times but I'm learning to channel it into admiration and use them as motivation instead.

Very true words. I can relate to the overwhelming aspect of reading a lot of information and trying to sort them out in your head.
I will implement your tip of mapping out next days blogpost on the evening before.

Well thought out and written post. You have a new follower. The hurdle I fall at is consistence in posting. Not because I don't want to but because life gets in the way. Writing a post is Me time but I don't get much of that these days.

This is the best advice for any project or work anyone is doing. Never give up and only compare to your previous self. look up to those who are doing well and learn from them.
