Steem Pump Incoming? - Bag Hodlers Get Ready For a Decent Sell Opportunity

Why is steem pumping?

A quick update for all those who are still in possession of any steem. If like me you kept hold of a few thousand when the community forked to hive in the Tron acquisition, now is a good time to keep an eye on the charts and possibly offload your bag.

Steem is currently pumping due to an announcement that the chain will now reward posts with both Steem and Tron on a 1/1 ratio.

Check out this tweet if you want to see what Justin Sun has been up to in regards to the former blockchain of choice.

For me, I see this as an opportunity to scoop up some extra Bitcoin and possibly buy some Hive or Leo with the profits.

I don't see Tron going anywhere fast in regards to price as the crypto world has clearly seen what Tron and its founding father JS are about during the drama earlier this year.

But there are still quite a few people riding the steem bandwagon, and these people will be looking to increase their stack of steem in a hurry with this news.

I've put in a sell order for the majority of what I have left in my bag around the last major support @ 0.000017 sats before the last major breakdown in September.

So, the question remains...
Have we already seen the pump on this news?
You know what they say, 'buy the rumor sell the news'. It is entirely possible that we've already seen the move on this one.
What do you think?
Let me know in the comments.

Fair enough Dave. I think it is a question of belief. If you believe steem blockchain can attract quality content creators back after the community hardfork then it could come good. I'm not one of these people who gets evangelical about it, or says people should choose hive or steem. I stick to hive because of time issues.

Keeping my fingers crossed for that ford escort for ya ;-)

Oh by no means am I a STEEM believer. I cross-post.. I post to HIVE first.. weedcash.network mostly.. plus a nightly Actifit post that posts to both chains. But I'm not willing to take less than $1 a piece for those tokens..

Yeah, I think steem was completely fckd over by Ned and Justin Sun between them in that little under the counter deal they did. Although I like the way the community took action in forking to hive, if Ned had never did what he did it would have kept the steem brand intact. That is the biggest loss in the whole thing is how much of a waste of 3 years of building the whole sorry affair was. Brand means a lot.

I was around at the time and kept saying to people this is simply a steemit.inc exit strategy. Plenty agreed, but there was nothing that could be done. I feel like someone should have had the balls to say to Ned that what he was doing was a garbage thing to do tho. Anyway... rant over lol

But I'm not willing to take less than $1 a piece for those tokens.

I don't blame you Dave. I sincerely hope that the tokens reach that price for you :)

Hi Asher. How's things m8? Hope you're well.

and esp. SBD moving

ha ha, I hadn't even looked at SBD... $4 that is insane. Hmnnn, I'm gonna have to check bittrex and binance to see if I have any SBD lying around I'd forgotten about ;-)

Steem already dropped back to 0.00001042 Looks like my selling price is rapidly disappearing in the rearview mirror.

Yeah not bad thanks, heading to Spain at the weekend with hopes to stay there and work remote.

Still hopeful of a HIVE pump, HBD can stay at a dollar though - much better for stability i think.

Good luck with the Spain thing. I am hopeful that I might be able to travel in around a year if I can figure out my health problems. Also, got a decent stack of BTC and if it moons to 100k or more I'll be buying some property lol Also if hive goes on a bull run would be nice.

Agree about HBD. It is much better for the steady growth of the ecosystem as the dollar peg means the majority only take 50% of earnings out by selling HBD earnings on posts but keeping HP earnings powered up.

if your thinking of selling now, your going to cry in about 6 months.

Maybe, depends where Bitcoin is in 6 months time and if the BTC I acquired from selling now was worth more than the steem value then. Crystal ball time with that one.

Ah, the nostalgia for the good old days. Lol, well be thankful you didn't do what I did and sell virtually nothing until the drama last year. Mind you, the steem I sold then is now worth a decent amount in BTC which I'm not selling for a while.

I haven't seen nor checked this yet but I already heard from guidance about the steel pumping.
I hope people aren't already dumping their tokens lol.
This could be a great start-up for steem again.
Let's just wait and hope for the best

I pretty much moved all my steem out after the fork when it was at 2200 sats or something. Most went to BTC and got me to my goal there, the rest to Hive as I can't managing multiple accounts. Pretty happy with the result 😁

Hope you make the most of the price movements of what you have left!

Thanks. I missed the boat on that little pump, but I'm sure there will be other opportunities. Patience is a virtue and all that.
