Having blast in splinterland.

Are you having blast in splinterlands? I am really enjoying because I completed my goal of becoming a maverick and DEC (in game currency) is now regained much of its value meaning I have more earning in USD per DEC.

Coming to the game, blast is really a very strong offensive ability. Think of ruleset like "Target Practice" where all magic and range attack monster start having "snipe" ability. Using the magic and range monster that have blast ability is really devastating because blast ability will cause damage to the adjacent monster also. It means that it can cause damage to 3 monster. My favorite combination is to use "Ruler of sea" + "Pirate Archer" in target practice ruleset. As you see in this battle link that how my level 5 summoner destroyed opponent level 7 summoner (screenshot below) because I am able to nicely execute the blast ability.

As you already saw in above battle how devastating was blast attack of 2 monster but imagine if someone use "King of blast" against you so that whole team has now blast ability boosted by summoner "Yodin Zaku"

Are all blast abilities are same?

No, Blast ability of monster is actually dependent upon monster type and other abilities it holds. Magic monster attack directly the health of enemy monster so does their blast ability (unless weak magic is not in force).For Melee and range attack monster their blast ability have to remove enemy armor before touching the enemy health. If they have "piercing" ability then these monster can reduce armor and health in same shot provided its blast attack value is greater than enemy armor's value.

Can you combat blast?

It is really tough to combat blast but still it can be combated. For magic cards ,combination of lord Arianthus and Prismatic energy backed by a healer works very well. If you are in lower leagues or do not have lord Arianthus then you can give a try with Rusty Android. Using the cards with thorns and shield may help against melee monster and using card with Return fire and shield may help you against ranged attack.
Another approach is to use very swiftness and flying cards so that enemy can miss the attack and you finish them first before they attack you. Overall I will recommend to add blast in your inventory and counter blast with blast+high swiftness.

I am lover of blast ability and in my above battle you already get taste of magic and range blast attacker so it time to show you my melee blast attacker.

Now move to battle where I used my exploding dwarf and it blast ability thanks to the super sneak rule set.

Did you noticed that I have used 2 monster (creeping ooze and goblin shaman) to slow the enemy and one monster is to increase my swiftness (spirit miner). I am also using "blind" and "weaken" ability against my enemy and my tail have "Serpent of Flame" that has really high swiftness. The whole idea is to attack first and finish them before they are able to attack you.

Needless to say my strategy worked, enemy Flesh golem and Creeping ooze died even before taking a shot,enemy Brownie become victim of retaliate of my "Serpent of Flame" and Screeching vulture did survived even after taking retaliate attack but poisoned. It is all over now for my opponent.
