Clear downward trend

I took a look at the numbers of the Covid-19 epidemic in the United States. And I was a bit surprised by what I saw. Compared to what is happening in Europe right now, the United States are doing quite well. In Europe the numbers are exploding once again, especially in France, Spain, Belgium, Holland and Denmark. But in the USA we see a very different curve.

More testing

Even though in the USA there has been a lot of testing done the last months, a lot more than in March, April and May, the numbers of positive tests are declining slowly. That is actually very good news, very much so, if you think of the fact that measures against the virus have been loosened slowly and face masks are not mandatory. It kind of gives the suggestion of some sort of herd immunity developping. But that is even more clear in the next graph.

Deaths are the main parameter

It is a bit macabre, but only by the number of deaths you can surely follow how the trend is going, not with positive cases, because the number of tests is never steady. And here we see a very clear sign of a steady decline over the last two months. This is a clear sign that immunity is becoming bigger and bigger among the American people, and the virus finds less and less victims every day.
Off course the virologists and mainstream media won't talk about this, but this is a very clear sign of herd immunity becoming a factor in the USA. Maybe President Trump was correct, and eventually the vaccine won't be necessary after all...
