Protecting My Crypto Fortune

Okay, so it's not really a fortune but it is starting to be enough to make me think a little bit more about security. Up to now I have kept most my passwords in a Word file on a USB stick separate from my PC. Because of all the different passwords I'm accumulating and the amount of money in some accounts I think it's time I upgrade to a password manager and start enabling some 2FA/MFA protocols.

I have been looking at LastPass and Dashlane for a manager and have already set up Google Authenticator for 2FA on a couple accounts. I guess before I go to far down a road here I was looking to see what some other people are using and what their recommendations might be. Please feel free to leave your comments and thanks in advance for helping out a newbie. :)

This is also something that I need to start doing. Well, at least start putting the passwords and recovery keys together in a safe place. Right now they are scattered around like my brain. 😪🤯🙈 I have some with 2fa's, too but I've not gone beyond to consider dashlane and stuff like that.

My past mode of operation for password retention was scraps of paper in my desk drawer. :) I do print out a paper copy though just in case either of my two Word files get corrupted.

LastPass is fine to me. AEGIS for 2FA.

I was leaning toward LastPass because the free version allowed me to use two devices. I will have to look into AEGIS. Thanks for advice! :)

Having a tangible drive containing your keys looks to me as the best secured

That is a point to consider.
