Fiverr, Earning money online.

Would you like to earn money for writing online?

When I first started looking at ways to monetize my writing online, Fiverr was one of the ways which came up as an option for me.

The main options that i found were:

  • Publish though amazon/Kindle.
  • Create a wordpress blog.
  • Join the gig economy.

I was thinking about my splinterlands guild today and wanted to get a logo designed which led me back to Fiverr.

Fiverr is a company built on the model of listing temporary work positions. Freelancers work in a variety of workplaces, ranging from home to office. Fiverr serves as e-commerce platform to freelancers and companies to sell their services by using their gigs.
Ref: Wkipedia.

The perfect place to get a logo created quickly and easily.

On the front page however I did see all of the other options that the site and it's users have to offer. A lot of whom offer SEO optimized blog posts for $5 - $15. Now, it would be very easy to hire a couple of these guys to spit out simple posts every day for me and still turn a profit from Hive and the tribes.

I won't do that because it would take all the enjoyment out of it for me personally if it became purely about the money and a profit. Writing here means a lot more to me than that and trying to arbitrage two writing sites.

The concept is a good one.

Obviously i found Hive a few years ago and went down the crypto route but if i had been discouraged all those years ago then i could vey well have have built up a portfolio of work on Fiverr instead of here.

The concept itself is very good and if i remember correctly we had a dev that planned on building the same kind of idea on hive.

It got me browsing the site and looking at all of the possibilities that you could buy as a one off piece of work.

  • Graphics.
  • Design.
  • App building.
  • Web apps.
  • Content creation.
  • Game building.
  • E-commerce.

It has everything that you might need in one place if you want to get a project off the ground. I don't have anything to hand but if we see a successful launch of HAF in the next hardfork then the possibilities are endless for a person who would like to get a project off the ground.

I always say to work smarter not harder so Fiverr does give you the option to project manage a good idea into existence by offering a wide range of competent staff that are ready and willing to work for a competitive rate.

I would like to see a crypto version of the site.

Maybe this could be my first project to get off the ground.

A Fiverr site but with crypto payments. I would obviously have it based on hive but open to the whole crypto community.

A site built onto hive with all payments in HBD or a site specific token. You can lodge any major crypto and receive the HBD equivalent to your account.

Post jobs requests and job offerings with the major difference being payments in crypto rather than dollars and presumably a lot more blockchain and web based work than on Fiverr.

I could see markets for a lot of related industries.

  • App building.
  • Token creation.
  • Nft design.
  • Content creation.
  • Gamers to play accounts.
  • Website design.

The possibilities are out there. It's a fun though to have and plan out in my head.

I used to hire off of Fiverr. Had some hits and misses. I think there was a hive version but I can't really remember. Maybe someone in the comments will think of it. But I thought you could do tasks for hive. But a version with some legs would be great. Feels like hive is coming on strong. But I had a friend that bought $5k of deso yesterday but wouldn't touch hive. Bumbs me out. We gotta get some of that "normie" money. He trusted deso because it was coinbase. He even joined their diamond app which is supposed to be like hive but you have to tip with your own money so I explained how/why it will 100% fail. He didn't care lol.

I'm sure that there was a version at some stage. Steem gigs or something like that is in my head. It's the biggest problem with any of the apps that are built here.

They have the best ideas and what could become great businesses but only a couple have added a business plan to the development. Onboarding, growth, marketing ect... They build but they don't grow them and bring in external users. The hive community is too small at the moment to support the apps without bringing in external users but it's never been a priority to the Devs.

It's a pity as some of the ideas over the past five years have been exceptional.

I do feel that positive sentiment around hive and hope to see the few like Leo and splinterlands that have pushed outwards to lead the growth of the whole chain. If a couple more can follow in their lead it will be a great help.

Then with HAF coming soon we might attract more developers to build even more projects on the chain. Hopefully.

Or at least some users like myself might be able to hire non blockchain Devs to build out something ourselves.

I think there is a hive version of this already issue is I don't think it gets any traction which is a big issue with many applications.

Very few of them grow after development since they don't add a business perspective to the team. We have great Devs but they lack the practical side of growth and marketing to expand and keep developing even further.

I was told to get your star rating high on fiverr, it is quite difficult so that really discouraged me to even explore the platform

You probably need to do a lot of work and keep getting fives to hit that higher rating.
Probably not easy with a lot of the work being subjective.

Fiverr is a cool website indeed. I never used it actively but I always thought about offering some of my skills there.

It would be awesome to have a Hive version of that. Like people said in the comments, I think there is something similar but I just can't remember the name and I'm not sure if it's still up.

It's a really cool site and one I'm going to take a much closer look at for future work. I have a few ideas I might take on at some stage and this could be a great way to get parts done.

Simple and effective. My favourite combination.

I think I have heard of a few crypto versions but I don't remember what they are called. Of course, I don't really think any of them really gained any traction though because I haven't heard any of them since then.

It's hard to get a project off the ground.
We have had lots of great ideas start here that never took off like they should have.
It takes something extra to build it and grow it.

I have used Fiverr to make money and get shit done for my business as well. You can easily find great options for all kinds of budgets.

Would love to see a blockchain-based version of it. Maybe Fiverr itself would allow crypto payments in the future, you never know.

It's a site that could integrate crypto payments very easily. Depending on which chain they use and all they would need is a wallet tied to it then.

A lot of these big sites could be copied quite successfully I think if you could write the code.

The next generation are very crypto orientated and could easily be brought over to Web3 versions.
